The control board on the freezer door , pops off from the bottom . May have to use a small screwdriver , prying outward , from the bottom . Remove the 3 plugs from the board . Remove the 4 screws , holdint the dispensor cover and slide the cover out . In the top right , in the dispensor area , you will see a solenoid with a plunger , which the door flap hooks into . 3 screws hold the solenoid on . Usually , rust inhibits the movement of the plunger , inside the solenoid . Replace the solenoid and plunger ( they come togather ) as cleaning will not solve the problem . Pt # WR62X10055 is the part(s) you need .

My Electrolux side-by-side refigerator automatically started dispensing ice cubes in the middle of the night and would not stop until I manually pulled the lever to the stop position. It did this on 2

I have a few ideas for things to try. On the bottom of the ice cube holder I believe there is a spring loaded metal rod that runs from the front of the freezer to a little indentation in the back of the freezer. Inside this indentation there is a small plastic piece that can move up and down to rotate the metal rod. Make sure this metal rod is free to rotate. Sometimes it gets stuck in one position. The position of the plastic piece inside the indent in the rear of the freezer is controlled by a solenoid which is controlled by the buttons on the front of the door for cube or crushed. Close all the doors and push the cube button. Open the freezer door and remove the entire ice cube tray. Reach to the back of the freezer and make sure the little plastic piece inside the indent will move up and down easily. You want it to be in its down position. Re-insert the ice cube tray. The metal rod should fit easily into the indent in the back of the fridge. Now close the door and see if you can get cubes. If this doesn't work I suspect the solenoid that moves the little plastic piece may need to be replaced. I hope this helps you out.

Hi the right hand hinge of the door has popped out whilst I was trying to move the oven using the door handle as leverage. The door is now wonky when closed as the hinged has popped out. Help!

All oven door typically lift off the hinges by design. If you open the door to what is referred as the broil position. You know when the door stops about 4 to 6 inches open at the top. Then do the following.

1. Lift the door up completely off the opposite hinge still in place and remove. Set the door aside carefully as if has glass window, you do not want to break.

2. Then set both hinges at the broiler stop position. If one is all the way in to door fully closed position pull it out with your hand or with pliers till it stops @ broiler position. If all the way down as if door was fully open, lift hinge until it stops at broiler position. CAUTION- THE HINGES ARE SPRING LOADED AND CAN SNAP BACK INTO FULLY CLOSED POSITION. You can use a heavy glove or if you have an oven mitten, that can work to protect your fingers. DO NOT GET YOUR FINGERS BETWEEN HINGE AND OVEN OR CAN PINCH FINGERS.

3. Now carefully lift the door over the hinges set at the broiler position. Careful not to bump them when doing so or can snap closed. If does, reset hinge to broiler position and repeat. Works best to hold door at angle that door is when in broiler position. Once you have them started evenly, you should be able to fully slide down back onto both hinges.

4. If one of the hinges no longer has spring tension you have to reattach the spring. You can usually access spring if needed by removing the bottom drawer.

Red light about door icon flashing

Sounds like a door lock problem. May just be a weak spring in the door handle which helps push the door lock pin against the contacts in the door lock switch. If you open the door and push on the pin or operate the handle the pin should return positively to its closed position, if very weak return then spring wants replacing. Take door apart to gain access to handle and spring and replace spring if broken.

I have a side by side with the ice and water in the door. The ice maker flap will not stay close so there for air is getting inside the freezer.

There is a solenoid that operates the door that could have stopped working. Can you hear it?
The hinge on the door could be broken or the bracket it goes in could be broken. There may be a spring broken or slipped out of position. You'll have to look to see what's wrong.
Remove the dispenser cover by gently prying starting at the bottom going round and round a little at a time to prevent from breaking it. When it's off the screws will be exposed to access the other components.

Access from front of freezer door. Trim is just pushed into friction holders. Selector area snaps in. Phillip screws under that removes ice shoot.

Making a noise like a motorbike

sounds as if your fan motor is hitting on something most likely ice. the fan cuts off and on when the door is opened. the easist fix is to defrost the unit manually by unloading all food and unplugging the unit for several hours. if yo arent in a position to do this it will require removing coil covers to gain access to the fan and remove the ice manually. good luck peyton

Ice maker water dispenser is stuck in the on position

The problem is fixed. I think the drinking cup jarred the push bar activator, causing it to be stuck in the on position. After pushing this activator, it cleared the problem. Thanks for your follow up.

Remove door front panel to gain access to rear of dispenser (inside door)...then you have access to some linkages to which the trigger clips. You will see which to unclip. Spring is just clipped into position and dispenser door snapped back in! Good luck! Oshie
