My Boston BA735 system does not work on new computer

you can compare the color of male plug agains PC female input....green on green, blue in blue etc..

if now your computer not support this speakers,you must buy new soundcard support this speaker then build in to your computer hardware.good luck

doesn't your computer have a standard audio output port?

I'm fairly sure it must have one......if not, try using the Headphone plug.

sometimes it's a dual output.......stereo/headphones.

If I remember correctly, those speakers were supplied with some Gateway computers equipped with a digital soundcard, and the speakers take only digital input.

Take a look at the input plug and compare it to these:



If yours looks like the mono plug, your speakers will only work with the original digital card. Plug them into your new computer and you'll get nothing out of them.

Use the sound card software and set the output to DIGITAL only

All you need to do is download and install the Vista drivers from Boston Acoustic. You should then be all set. Hope this helps.

They should be plugged in and turned on when you power up your system.They should be plugged into the green jack (line out). You then may have to check settings in control panel for your sound card's properties to see if digital only is checked. Try it both ways. Hope this helps. 

The cable with 2 rings is stereo, a single ring is mono, you have to make sure that you are using the right cable/speaker combo. The speaker output is usually lime green, hope this helps, more info perhaps?

If there are a plug to connect them on your Mac i cant see why they shouldent work. Just connect them to the audio-out plug on your Mac
