Not able to print. Says that the printer is offline. Have checked the line connection everything is connected.

Hi,

please perform the steps below if you are using Windows XP Operating System:
1. Click Start --> Printers and Fax.
2. Right click the printer icon and check the following:
a. Check whether the All-in-One is set as default printer.
b. Ensure that the there is a check mark on the "Use printer online". If you have the Use printer offline, make it online by selecting the option.
c. Ensure that there is no check mark on the Pause printing.

HOW TO FIX...PRINTER IS OFFLINE BUT IT IS ON...WE ARE UNABLE TO PRINT.


If you are getting a status message as the printer is offline on your pc,and afterward you can't ready to print the reports.
Steps to Resolve the Printer Offline Issue:
Step 1:
At first, you need to check your network through the HP Scan Doctor which encourages you to discover and fix the printing issues.
Steps To Run the HP Scan Doctor
    •Open the HP Scan Doctor tool by double tapping the symbol.
    •Start- - >Select your printer- - > Fix Printing
    •Then the list of issues displayed on the screen as result.

    •If the tool shows the white wrench then the issues are found and repaired

How about completely disconnecting it from power and from the PC.
Restart the PC.
Leave it for a few hours and then connect it again.

How do i get my hp1200 printer to print, is on a off line mode


Hi Joy,
Disconnect the printer completely from the PC.Unplug its power cable too.
Reboot your PC.
Connect everything again from scratch but use a different USB port to connect to the PC.Make sure everything is well connected.Try printing now.Cant print?
Under printers and faxes,check whether 'work offline' is checked by right clicking on the printers icon and 'Uncheck.Still cant print?
Uninstall the printer driver on your PC,reboot the PC and install software again.If you don't have the installation disks,install from this Hp Support site making sure you select the driver that corresponds with your Operating System[Windows 7,Vista,Windows XP etc]

HP Deskjet 6980 won't print. Says offline but i don't see how to turn it back online. was working. now not.


Printers often go off line for no reason. It can be genuinely off line or the pc is just not seeing the printer anymore To put it back on line all you need to do is open the print queue (double click on the printers icon in printers devices/ printer and faxes) go to File and in the drop down list it will say "Use printer Offline or Use printer online. click on it and if the pc is seeing the printer if will change and the printer will then start up and print. If this does not work then check your cable to the printer or your network connection to reestablish the connection.

I checked everything, the printer is connected, there's ink, everything is good, but it says it's offline. I clicked "Use printer online", but it's still offline. I tried Refresh, and it's still...


The first thing I would check is the cable. If you're using a USB connection, try a different (and known to be good) USB cable. If that doesn't do it, you may have a damaged USB connection socket at the printer, which is not cost effective to repair.

When I try to print with my HP D4260 printer, it will not print solid colors - everything has banded lines. Can I fix this?

My printer is connected, nut doesnt seem to work


Check whether the printer is in offline. Double click the printer icon in the bottom right of the screen (near time). Or double click your printer in the printers and faxes. Your printer job menu will open. Select printer and check whether use printer offline is ticked. If so, remove it. The another problem is your usb port number may be changed. check it in printer properties.

Printer is connected to wireless network but getting offline mess


1st you try to ping the the wireless device ip address if you getting the replay that means your wifi is working fine .check the usb cable also for testing directly install on your pc and check it.

Printer Offline


If your problem still persists then If the printer and the printserver is on and connected to the printserver and the router respectively. Then try right clicking on the printer icon in the printers and faxes window to set it online. Try Printing. If it did not work, then right click on the printer icon again > Properties > Ports > set the proper network port. Apply the settings and try Printing.
