I suggest taking the back cover off, removing the battery and reinstalling it again. Make sure the battery is installed correctly and is the exact type. Its very easy to put them upside down, Sometimes it may take a couple tries.

It happens very often that the ground is not connecting on the backside of the watch. Make sure too that the back cover is on the right way meaning in the right direction as before to push the battery into the positive terminal and to ensure that the backside is grounding it. Is the spring still inside under the battery?

Silly question but did you make sure the crown is pushed in all the way. If all else fails, try a different battery or give it a slight tap.
