Your convergence power supply is propably not working. The convergence supply board is mounted above the mainboard and has AC 110V supplied to it from the main PCB. That's probably why the fuse blew.Rca Has abulletin regarding replacing two diodes CR19710 and CR19713 on convergence power board.

Fuse was replaced and the tv works but the picture is in 3d and the top and bottom of the picture is bowed and also somewhat blurry

This is a suggestion: if convergence is off does the label on the back of the set indicate this is a PTK195 Chassis?

If so I can tell you the likely bad part and how to find it.

Before you rate this information let me know what you find.

I am here to help.

Help with RCA projection TV P46812BL (chasis ptk195AA)

You have probably blown one of the convergence ICs. Effectively the easiest thing to do is replacing the whole convergence board, so that no soldering is involved.

Here you can buy a replacement convergence board, just select your model.

Let me know if you need further help.

Rca r52wh74 bowed picture and 3 d color

Your convergence amplifier has failed.
There are a few things that usually cause that in that particular chassis design, the most likely one being that you have lost part of the power supply to the convergence amplifier power supply board.
You may be able to repair it yourself if you're good at soldering, and dis-assembly / re-assembly.
Look for a 400ma fuse that's opened near the FBT, and re-solder all the connections in that area. Also check to see if any diodes have shorted around it too.
Good luck.

Rca projection tv is blurry

Find a large rifle and put it out of its misery. Bowing is either from a problem in the pincushion correction circuit or the convergence circuit. Blurry picture or poor color rendition is most likely bad CRTs ( picture tubes)

Pt5598 rplaced convergence board no luck.

If the picture is still bowed, the power supply fuses are open.
Check the power supply on the red connector for + and - 20 volts.

The fuses are on the main board, are on the deflection module in the middle, tward the front of the TV. They should look like green (or brown) resistors. An ohmmeter check will show which ones are bad.
They should be 3.5 amps. Replace with 4 ohm GMA fuses with pigtails if you can't find picofuses. I also had a set that would fry the 1 ohm resistor on the 20 v supply. This was near the fuses.
I replaced the whole module to fix that.

I hope this helps. Lee, www.crazycomputers.com
