Cant print thermister open, cycle power cant print heellllllllllp

924 is an open thermister error. The thermistor controls when power is actually applied to the heating lamp on the fuser. I used to have this problem with other Lexmark models and was able to replace the thermister itself. The thermister is located on the top cover of the fuser. If you have a real Radio Shack near you they should have them. I believe that the temperature should be around 400F.

Almost every dryer i have seen repaired with heating issues has been due to element failure. Thermisters are cheap. Change them if you suspect. I have found meLted elements. Some very small but had to remove the element to inspect. to find the problem. even if open partially it will never heat up properly.

50.1 Fuser error:Low/No Fuser tempatrature, replace Fuser assembly.
For service engineers: Reason: thermo switch open, remove fuser assembly, dis-assemble up sleeve, check switch continuity, if no continuity, remove switch & just hit gently on aluminum capsule till continuity comes,make sure it should not damage or dent,once continuity comes, clean main thermister & sub thermister, fix it back, power on the printer, chek errors,adjust fuser temperature in low, give prints up to 50 blank copies, chk.. if problem repeated replace Fuser assembly, but success rate is 70% for above exercise. Note: Only professionals can perform this activity..
Thermo switch:

check the wire harness from main board to thermister. tE error code is either an open or shorted thermister. If you replaced the main board and thermister, the only other option you have is a bad harness. Reseat connectors on the main board and all along the harness to the thermister

This is a feature provided by the manufacture to protect the print head overheat for small dot matrix printers. Here giving printer head connection diagram, the last two row have temperature sensing (thermister) connection pin 1 to 1. If the thermister is faulty in the print head the printer will auto pause abnormally. Check the printer with compatible / EPSON recommended print head. These kind of small printer only for POS printing not for continues printing.

The F1 error code means that the thermister (cycling thermostat) has a open circuit and should be replaced.

To check the thermister you would need to DISCONNECT POWER TO THE DRYER remove the lower small front panel below the main one where the door is at and using a digital meter set to measure ya would remove the wires from the thermister and check for appx. 5,000- 7,500 ohms at room temperature.

If the ohms at within 5 thousand to 7thousand 5 hundred at room temp. the thermister is good and the control board is what the problem is....if the ohms is way lower or higher that 5-7,500 ohms the thermister is going to be what would need to be replaced.

oh its a big problem.fusing temperature error means that either the thermostat or thermister is open in fuser unit. only a Ricoh technician can check it and tell you as it requires a lot of stripping to take fuser unit out and test the thermostat. there is no reset procedure for it mate.

if the Fuser unit rubber are not burned , change the
Fuser unit Thermister....

Your rinse Thermister is shot. Replace the thermister between the fill valve and the solenoid. Also be watchful of the 120V, ensure this is secured as there is two power sources. Is ya good
