Question about CyberLink POWERDIRECTOR 7 VLICDELUXE for PC

Open Question

Using PowerDirector 7, video preview freezes for a few seconds when a title begins. Audio is OK. I am editing about 12 minutes of a combination of video clips and still photos. I'm adding captioning to the video clips because the speaker has a heaving accent. I've tried keeping the titles short and associated with only 1 or 2 clips at a time. But the video still hangs up whenever it hits a title/caption.
