Sounds as if you have a broken belt.
If your machine is a front loading machine, then you would normally access the belt by removing the front of the machine.
This will expose the drum and belt, if you remove the drum, then it will expose the rollers, idler arm with pulley, and motor.

I hope this helps

While cleaning the inside drum and turned the drum by hand. She heard a "loud noise" and will not turn. The control panel will come on andselect the mode, but when start is pushed nothing happens.

When you rotated to drum you caused to belt to pop off the pulley .it has a safety switch so it won't run if belt breaks . With unit unplugged remove top than control panel than front panel to access bottom to put belt back on just enough room for hands to fix inside

Growling noise when drum turning

That could be the motor roller or drum rollers gone. You need to take off the front top to access inside. Take off the top first, then remove the control panel, then the front. You may need service person to help.

Can't get brake drums off

You have to back off the shoes. Look for a rubber plug on the bottom of the backing plate. Remove this plug to access an adjustment wheel. To back off the shoes you will need two tools. One to hold the lock foot off the wheel and another to turn the wheel. You can make these tools from a old metal coat hanger and a flat blade screw driver. Cut the coat hanger about 6 inches long, bend a 90 deg hook on one end about 1/2 inch. you need a screwdriver about 7 inch's long. Get you a good light so you can see inside the drum and see the lock and push it away from the adjustment wheel, while your turn the adjustment wheel with the screwdriver to get the shoes away from the drum. Then once you have clearance between the shoes and the drum you have to hit the drum with a hammer to free any rust that holds it in place.

Have an old hotpointdryer model no 9321w the drum will not spin when door is closed i have to move drum by hand to make it spin, is there a capacitor on this model or somthing else that starts the drum...

Yes there is a start capacitor on this model, it is usually located at the rear right of the inside of the cabinet, so you will need to gain access to the inside of the dryer.

I have the GLEQ212ES1 dryer. When it is running. it sounds like something is rubbing against the drum. When you turn it by hand manually, the drum is harder to turn.Could a piece clothing gotten stuck...

Although this is possible, usually one of the wheel bearings may have gotten dry or even is stuck. Inside there are wheels that the drum is steadied by and that rotate with the drum. If it's a year old it should be under warranty and a tech can fix it. If that is a problem, remove the back (after unplugging it) find the wheels and rotate the drum by hand. If a wheel is stuck or dry you will find it. I hope this helps.

Money stuck inside drum making noise

The easiest way to access the area between the inner and outer drums is to take the front off. Instead of something being in the drum making the noise it may be the front felt pads that the front of the drum turn on. It makes the same noise. They are replaceable.

Drum rubbing on inside walls

Go into the back of the dryer. Remove access to back and you will see the drum. Chances are your motor that turns the drum is loose or the shaft or spindle that the dryer spins on is loose from its bracket. Tighten all that up and it should be fine.

Electric dryer makes a rumbling when tumbler is turning.

Check the drum bearing, a load noise, and often spinning problems are symptoms of a bad drum bearing. The bearing is at the base of the drum and accessing it is not easy.

You can find diagrams and replacement parts entering model number here.

Washing machine

It might be a bearing, or it might just be something inside the drum!
If the machine is not exceptionally old it shouldn't be a bearing.
It might be limescale!
You can access and inspect the drum from the outlet.
Heres what to do:

Disconnect the machine from the mains and the water supply and pull it into a clear area.
Put a thick cloth on the floor and gently lay the machine on its left hand side, looking from the rear,
Undo the small panel on the back and you will see the black rubber concertina hose, pressure chamber and pump, which are now all easily accessible from the rear and the botom of the machine.
Undo the circlips with a screwdriver and pull the hose away from the drum. You will now be able to see the element and the inside of the drum.
Check it for debris and limescale.
At the same time clean out the filter with its "ping pong ball" and plastic pressure chamber.

THis will clear out any loose items and let you check to see if the drum needs descaling.
Job should take about 20 minutes!
