Tv keeps shutting off

hi deborah.
not sure if this will help you out,if not go to the link at the bottom for more help.
If you don't hit a remote button for a few hours, the TV turns itself off. Check to see if there's a settings option to disable this power saving feature, or to extend the time before it automatically turns the TV off. Maybe a sleep timer setting? The sleep timer is off.

My St George Electric oven keeps turning itself off.

Possible checking the power switch, the timer control unit and also if there is any power trip in the circuit.
The most possible chance could be related to the timer unit, so reset the timer control , try setting to higher levels and see if the power holds on.

I have 1998 dodge caravan. When you turn on the wipers, it keeps running and never shut off. Eventhough the wipers switch is working on slow and fast speed but when you turn the switch to off position, it...

There is a device made into the wiper motor itself, known as the wiper park switch. Its designed to turn off the wipers at a pre-determined position once you switch them off. The mfr recommends replacing the motor along with the intermittent timer (if equipped) at the same time when experiencing these problems.

KitchenAid electric dryer, Model # 750LQ, has a broken (I believe)cycle selector (timer) control. The dryer turns on when the control is activcated by turning to the right, but is not in automated mode...

If you are setting the unit on automatic and the timer itself is not moving forward to the shut off position and you have to manually turn the timer off then you would need to order and replace the timer itself. If you have any further questions message me back Thanks Rick
p.s If you need me to look up the part number for your unit please provide the full model number of your dryer and I will try to locate the part number Thanks Rick

Grundig s350, installed new batteries and radio keeps shutting off by itself

When you press the Power/Sleep button the radio turns on and displays a number 90, or some other numbers. This is the play time that the radio will stay on then turns itself off. It could be that yours is configured with a sleep timer set to 01 minute, 10 or 15. You need to set the timer for a longer period. Thus we turn it on by pressing the Power/Sleep button, read the timer length then press again. Keep making short presses: The timer will cycle through all preset sleep timer durations. Select the length you want.

Over tv its getting aoutmatically off

Hello

Put your hand on the back of your TV to check for overheating, if your set keeps switching itself off without warning.

Many TV sets come equipped with a safety feature that switches the power off if the set gets too warm.

Check the cooling vents located at the rear of your unit. Vents can collect dust and dirt, resulting in the fans becoming blocked and failing to work properly.

Remove dirt from the vents with a damp, clean cloth. Ensure the air conditioning is kept at adequate levels in the room where your TV is located. Keep the drapes shut on hot, sunny days to keep the room cooler.

Check the sleep-timer function on your TV if it keeps turning off. A sleep-timer is used to turn a television set off after a certain period of time has elapsed. If the sleep-timer is not turned off, your television will continue to turn itself off after a certain period of time.

If the problem persists, then a heat sink has gone bad.

The on/off button simply toggles a low voltage circuit that powers your tv. If it is dusty, it may complete the electrical circuit and send a false signal.

Take a can of compressed air, open the back and clean the dust off the circuit boards.

NOTE;opening the TV VOIDS warranty!!

Ice forming in my frost free whirlpool fridge

There are a few reasons why this is happening. One and usually the most common is the the heater for the coils in the freezer is not working. These heaters are controled by a timer that lets it run for a while and then shut off, this keeps the coils from freezing up and collecting moisture. 9 out of 10 times it is the timer mechanism that goes bad and it is a reletivly cheap and easy repair. Also make sure the gasket on the freezer is in good shape and not allowing outside moisture in where it can condense and freeze along the wall of your freezer, keeping the door open too long will also create this effect, but if the heater is working correctly it usually will take care of itself. You may also want to make sure there is good air flow from the unit itself and blowing good cold air around in the freezer.

Why does my freeview digibox turn itself off? This happens during viewing or in the night. I do not have it set to go on standby, any ideas or help appreciated.

The Power supply is either faulty Itself, or it is detecting a fault, within the unit, and shutting the unit down for safety reasons. Are you sure there is no timer, sleep timer etc, active? You cannot repair something like this at home. You need to get it looked at by a service center, and ask for a "Quote" for the repair.
