Hl-dt-st-dvdram GSA-T20N drive

after using a dvd or cd on the windows media player the drive stops working sometimes after only just 2 or 5 minutes when i go to my computer screen i cannot see the drive anymore then i restart the laptop the drive shows up again tried to update driver get message driver is updated what can i do to stop this from happening

the upper and lower filters in the registry are likely corrupted. I would suggest that you use this set of instructions to fix the issue. will not cause any harm if it is not the issue though so a safe bet all around.
