Inspect the gasket first, you may not have a hole
you may just be over soaping
anything more than a table spoon could cause a suds leak

I removed the retainer spring, and cleaned all around the gasket. When repositioning, I made sure the fill spout area was seated properly. I think this was the caulse of the leak.
I also ran the "monthly" cleaning cylce for the first time, and discovered that the machine had a lot of built up suds and grime! There was a lot of mold around the gasket, so monthly it will be.

Door gasket leaks is it hard to replace ?

Before you go to the expense of replacing the door gasket, try cleaning the glass door itself with a soft plastic scratcher. Scum builds up on the glass and does not allow a tight seal. Be careful not to use a metal scratcher as it might scratch you glass door. If this does'nt work then ispect your gasket for tears or holes in the gasket, and inspect your door hinges to make sure they have not been bent. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists

Whirlpool Front Loading Door leaking water

The most common cause for a front loading washer to leak from the front door is a torn or detached gasket where that gasket attached to the machine.
Open the door and begin to pull the gasket away from the opening. Look for any problems. If you find a place where the gasket is not firmly secured to the opening, you can list that area up and glue (even with super glue) the gasket back down to the metal opening.
If you find gasket damage, it will need to be replaced.

Whirlpool dishwasher leaks

Just about all dishwashers will leak a little around the door seal over time but should not leak to the point of wetting the floor. With the door open, check in the front of the tub, under the door. Lots of gunk? Clean this area out well plus take a soft damp rag and clean the door gasket while feeling for any damage. Then go along the mating surface of the door and look for any nicks. If it leaked all the time I would suspect the door hinges have been sprung. Hope this helps, Ken

Washer is leaking

Check the rubber bellow (gasket) around the door. This is the symptom of a door gasket that it starting to leak. Pull the rubber folds back and check the area where the gasket attaches to the wash tub. You may have a crack or tear. If the gasket is worn please replay back to this post and I can give you advice on how to replace it and where to get a replacement gasket.
