Question about Nintendo Wii Console

Plasma screen turns RED 600u panasonic 42''-- 2 yrs old.

A/v cable turns the dvd plasma screen RED when dvd is started, all other devices work fine, a/v cable is shaped like the HDMI cable/ (male end),
before when this happened the cable came loose q=when the omni mount was extended away from the wall to work behind the TV. Wiggling the a/v cable, pushing it back in would correct it and the dvd opening screen would appear in its correct blue introduction , not the flaming orange-red is stuck on now. ps hdmi cable and a/v cable have both been replaced. Is it the DVD player, that plays through the gable box on thr HDMI Aux2 or the plug on the back of the plasma.

I don't know which cables to use to hook up my sony plasma to a samsung dvd player, or how to hook it up.

Hi there. To enable your Samsung DVD player to work on your Sony Plasma, you will need two things:

1. The Power cable for the DVD player
2. The Audio(Red and White) and Video(Yellow) cables that should have been provided when the DVD player was bought. If ever these cables are not available, you may buy these at any Hyper Market such as Wal-Mart or a technology store such as Best Buy. These are called Composite Video and Audio Cables.

If you have the previous cables, connect the 3 Audio/Video cables to the back of the Plasma TV, it should contain the appropriate ports. Yellow cable(Video) for the Yellow port. White and Red for the Audio Left(L) and Right(R) ports. Then connect your power, turn the DVD on and switch from TV to other input which should display the Samsung Logo.

Please rate and comment, thank you.

Had the box 360 60gb for 3 weeks. Been running it via the tv scart option with yellow wire and audio red & white. Worked for 3 weeks until during playing Assassins Creed Brotherhood the screen went...

Maybe someone stepped on your cables try getting different cables.

For example if your tv is hd get a hdmi cable or buy another set of those cables.

Maybe it will help.

Bought a Wii and using the standard cables it played great on a new 50' Panasonic Plasma as well as on our 2 year old 32' VIZIO LCD. Just upgraded to a 46' Sony LCD (W series) and the Wii looks terrible...

The Wii can display on a HDTV, but keep in mind the output is only 480p. It is not true high definition, and it will only display this using a component video cable. There shouldn't be a difference with LCD and plasma.

You will also need to go to the display settings to force the Wii to display in 480p.

Try a different input (safe to assume your Sony has multiple?) and see if it is that specific input. Also, try a different device like a DVD player or VCR and see if you get the same result.

Good luck.

My PS3 wont display.

you could use the hdmi cable or the composite cable(like the old playstation one with the 3 leads but different colours, not red, white, yellow.)
both would be better for a plasma.
make sure your screen can utilise 1080 for hdmi.
if 720 or 480 use the composite cable.

Plasma Burn IN

It's actually similar to the old screen burn in you'd see on very old CRT televisions and monitors. You can play your playstation on it, just make it a point not to leave it on the same screen for long periods. For instance, if you pause the game, turn the TV off until you're ready to continue.

Plasma Burn In only happens if you leave the same image on the screen for an extended period. Just don't do that, and you'll be fine.
