What diameter is the dryer side service connection? The gas connection on the dryer.

The gas inlet line to this dryer appears to be a male 1/2" "NPT" or "National Pipe Taper" fitting. You will need a 1/2" female NPT x by 1/2" flare fitting to connect a 1/2" flexible stainless steel gas line to the dryer. a 1/2" gas service line is sufficient to provide enough gas to the appliance.

You will need to determine what size the gas line and valve is at the gas valve service connection as well (the line and valve coming out of the wall or floor). They are usually 1/2" npt but can be 3/4" as well and may require a different size pipe and flare fitting.

Some jurisdictions may also re an "excess flow valve" to be installed. The service valve should be within 6 feet of the appliance.

How fix a gas line break at gas tank?

Using needle nose pliers slip the split line off the connection and pull out of the gas tank. If there is a filter on the end you need to extract through the gas cap opening. Purchase another gas line either in a repair kit or individual line and cut to fit. If the filter is bad, use a new kit. Insert through the gas cap opening and pull up through the supply line opening. Be sure the connection is clean then slip the new line onto the clean connection.

How do I replace gas tank lines?

The inlet line will be an .080 x .140. Using side cuts, cut line at a slight angle and feed into tank. Pull through gas cap opening, cut line straight, and install filter. Pull line back into tank so filter lays on bottom. Connect to small carb fitting on side of carb.
The return line is 3/32 x 3/16. Connect one end to pump return next to primer, cut other end at angle and install about 1/2" into tank.

I smell gas when the dryer is on. More so when

You got a loose connection on your dryer.  Turn off the gas line going to the dryer. Get you two pipe wrenches and disconnect the gas line going into your dryer.  Go to Home Depot and get the yellow pipe thread tape made for gas lines.  Clean the threads and then wrap the threads a few times around your gas dryer pipe.  Re-secure the gas line and snug up the connection real good and tight but don't go all ape **** and strip the threads.  Turn back on the gas line feeding the dryer.  Go get you some liquid dishwashing soap and put a little in a container with water.  Swish it around a bit to produce some suds.  Then take you a sponge and put it in the container so it will absorb some of soapy dish water.  Then squeeze some of it around the gas connection you just made.  You will know you got a good connection if the bubbles just sit there and drip down.  You got a gas leak if the bubbles start blowing up and around, which means more thread tape or tighten the connection up another quarter turn.

Hi this is the way it should go: 1 from the filter in the tank to the bottom of the carby,2 from the top of the carby to the inlet on the primer,3 from the outlet on the primer back to the tank as this is the return line nothing goes onto it.

Where do I connect the fuel lines on my ryobi weedeater?

I have Ryobi775r string trimmer with walbro WT526 carb. The fuel lines connect 3 parts eg. gas tank, bulb (mine is a separate bulb not part of carb.) and the carb. The bulb has 2 fittings- a short and a long one. The carb also has 2 fittings- one on top (vertcle) and one on the bottom (L shape). The gas tank has two holes in the bottom one for over flow line and the other for fuel inlet to the carb. This has a filter in the gas tank. Now the connections- connect the long fitting on bulb to the tank. this is the overflow. Connect the short fittin on bulb to the carb top (verticle) fitting. Connect the fuel line (with filter - it is in the tank) streight to the L fitting on the bottom of the carb. Make sure the fuel lines are of right diameter. Too big-and you will have leaks. You are done connecting the fuel lines. just for info. the bulb is there just to pull a vavcume in carb so that the fuel is sucked into the carb and is present there when you start the engine. Hope it helps. Good luck.
