Check your connections on the motor terminal, then check for incoming power, then you may have a bad start winding on the motor

I don't not how I star my new dryer can you please help me

If you just bought it new, instructions should guide you. sometimes attached to the back or inside.
Usually, by the look at the video, open the door and then close firmly, select the time or dryness on the round knob, then twist the knob in the center to start or clockwise.
If all else fails, there should be a phone number next to the manufactures name plate when the door is open

GE Spacemaker Washer/Dryer wont start only washer or only dryer

Did you figure out a solution to this problem? I just bought a brand new Frigidaire and it is doing the exact same thing, except it never worked properly. I thought it was the unit and had HH Greg bring another out but the 2nd one did the same as the first.

Starter knob on GE dryer came off. Dryer won't turn on.

If it turns hard, the timer may need replaced. But if you can turn the shaft with a pair of pliers and the dryer works, just get a new knob.

Turned knob and got a buzz. turned knob again and no sound. Just finished a load and was starting on the next.

Hi. im assuming the buzz came from the timer knob(behind the knob). if so, this will confirm timer failure and, you will need to replace this timer control module in order to restore proper function to your unit.

If the buzz was located behind the start switch, replace as well.
