Please check the inlet screen for hair or fiber obstruction. On the base of the cleaner, behind the brushes, there should be a red panel, about 1 1/2 inches wide. Squeeze the two tabs together and pull down to remove from the pocket. Clean off this metal screen filter.

My dyson dc35 animal brush spins very slowly. Brush is clean and hair free, could it be the small motor

There shouldn't be a motor in the brush. The brush is powered by the suction on the hose. Check the suction on the hose. The vacuum itself might need to be cleaned. If the suction is a problem and you have cleaned the vacuum I would contact dyson support to see if they can replace your vacuum. http://www.dyson.com/support.aspx

depends on the suction capability generally the are slower than the bottom as you don't have to go over this with as much power/force hopes this helps

"Power Brush" attachment doesn't work

When my hover suffered a similar issue i found the problem to be a little stone caught in the part you described as a water wheel, however later i found that one of the connecting hoses from the front of the hover had a little blockage , later, i actually washed the filters and left them to dry over night wrapped in a towel on a warm heater, it was back to normal , the last hover gave in as the motor started to slowly give in , it could be this

Turbo tool used only once or twice, already brush moves so slowly it stops when I try to use. Brush can actually be stopped by hand. Manual says nothing at all about the brush ie. HOW to take apart to see...

It takes a lot of suction to spin the brush. First make sure the suction is good. Make sure the bag and/ or filters are clean. Replace if necessary. Most turbo tools can be opened up to clean. Most have a lever that allows you to open it up to clean hair, dust, etc from the fan and fan shaft and other areas inside the tool. The tools pick up a lot of hair and debris and some will wrap around the moving parts building pup to the point the brush will not spin fast enough. The same thing can happen to the brush roll on your vacuum so be sure to clean it too and replace the belt at least twice per year.

When we changed the belt the new belt broke right away and the brush roller wouldn't spin. My husband cleaned off the roller and got it moving slowly again, but when we went to re-attach everythin

the thing you call wheels are actually called roller bearings that fit at both ends of the brush-roll there probably seized up you can get a new brush-roll with bearings from the link below.

The spin brushes move too slowly.

if you turn the machine over you might see a red tab recessed behind the brush's, if you see one pull it out (it doesn't come all the way out) and clean any debris. Otherwise it might have a small screen in the housing which is not really easy to get to.

Roomba keeps saying clean brushes yet are clean!

Make sure you take off the little cap at the end (the one that spins -- just grab it and pull it straight off) and clean under it too. The rest of the brush may look perfectly clean but what happens is that hair gets stuck under spinning cap and, like a slowly growing washer, it pushes the whole brush toward the gear box. When it gets pushed over enough, the large yellow ring starts to rub against the side of the brush deck making it harder for the motor to turn the brush and you get that "remove and clean brushes" message.

Brush turning slowly while shampooing. It starts out fast, but after a minute or 2 the brush is not spinning very fast. I have powered it off and let it cool down. I just started out so I can't...

track not set properly in grooves
there could be a clog or the cleaner has built in feature to slow down heads for better cleaning this does it on its own
