Question about Kodak EasyShare Z740 Digital Camera

1 Answer

I took my memory card out of the camera, put it in my computer, and proceeded to download. It showed 200+ pictures, then there was nothing but 31. I can not find where these pictures went. I was never in a position to even delete these. They just disappeared. A friend of mine told me that her sister did the same thing, and the camera didn't show them, and somehow, through the support for that camera brand, was able to retrive them. Is there any way to try this on a Kodak camera?

First of all, check to see if all the pictures appear when the card is in the camera. If so, then your camera is making new folders as you shoot and not continuing the numbering sequence. Take the card to a store like Walmart that has a Kodak picture maker machine. The pictures will all show up and you can print them or even make a cd from them.

How to get photos off a nikon coolpix internal memory

Two alternatives: Remove the memory card before connecting the camera to your computer, or use the Copy command to copy the pictures from the internal memory to the memory card and then download from the memory card.

Can't get pictures off of my camera

TRANSFERRING PHOTOS TO COMPUTER
If your photos are stored on the memory card, then removethe memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader.Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of yourworking computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device oran external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card andcopy the photos to your computer.Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. Youcan copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off yourmemory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing anyprograms.

Memory card filled and I took more pictures. Seemed to put those on the internal memory. What happened too or how can I recover the memory card pictures?

Probably one of two solutions.
First, the memory card should have all the pictures intact. If you are using the camera to review, you may need to just keep going back until the memory card photos show.
Another possibility is that the internal memory supersedes viewing the card memories. You may have to run a USB cable to your computer, download the internal memory photos, and then you can possibly see (on the camera) the memory card photos. It might be a good idea to download those photos to your computer too, if the computer has a memory card slot. Otherwise you will have to go through them and download via the USB again. Once you know the photos are saved, you can either change cards with a new one , or clear the old card and start again.
Good Luck

I took my memory card out of my camera, erased what was on it, add new pictures from my computer,to it,then put the memory card back in to the camera, and hooked the camera up to my television so I could...

Your mistake was in assuming your camera would recognize any information your computer put on the card. It won't because of the difference in the operating systems. To get your card to work properly in your camera again, you will have to format it in the camera.

get a memory card reader and try to download pics from card to comp-then open and click any folders you see related to memory card-card will show up as a new drive letter in my computer-pics may be in different folder and still be there-if you can't find pics at all go to sandisk.com and get recovery software to see if you can still retrive them

If you put a digital card into the camcorder then you can take it out and put into your computer, printer or regular camera. Windows should have a program though that will let you transfer the pictures from the camcorder to your computer.
