Colorpass 8000 with conectivity problems, help!!!

I have an colorpass 8000 and i need obtain the fiery system recovery software, if you can help me to find or share with me, really i can sleep like a child, please help me.

this colorpass are conected to a clc1000 and its working wonderful, only need print,

There is only one way to restore the fiery. You must have the cd then load and simultaeneously pressing the 4the button to the left of the display on the fiery. It will load automatically the after several reboots will take you to setup. It will help if you have the last configuration report.

Yes, the system software for many of the Canon imageRUNNER and imagePRESS devices can now be downloaded from the e-Support Center. Log into the e-Support Center and click on the 'System Software Downloads' link.


Click the link of the model machine you are interested in to download the latest system software for that model.


Canon U.S.A., Inc. has further streamlined the process for delivering Canon Engine System Software used in the majority of our ISG MFPs. The improvements address our software distribution process that allow Canon support personnel to secure executable Canon Engine System Software files more quickly and eliminate the need for imaging a CD. Fiery (EFI) Controller System Software:

1. What is SST System Software?

To improve Dealer Productivity, Canon U.S.A., Inc. is now posting Engine System Software on e-Support as a Self Extracting zip file (SST System Software) and (USB System Software). These System Software files allow the Dealer Technician to download System Software from the Canon e-Support website, extract right onto their Laptop and register in the Service Support Tool to be used when upgrading. The interim step of creating a CD-ROM has been eliminated.


2. What is USB System Software?

Flashing via a USB Flash Drive has been available previously for some models. This file format does not change the scope of the models which allow this type flashing. However, this file format does streamline the process in preparing the USB Flash Drive. When extracting the USB System Software file, it will automatically be placed in the following directory: C:\Canon File Folder\SST System Software Folder\USB Files. The File can be moved directly to the USB Flash Drive using standard Windows functions. No other preparation is required when upgrading specific models.


3. Can Multiple System Software be placed on a USB Flash Drive?

Multiple System Software versions can be placed on a USB Flash Drive. (Note: This depends on the USB memory size and the size of the specific System Software.)


4. When using "Assist Mode", the Service Support Tool displays the message "Necessary firmware is not registered"?

The copier itself doesnt have a hard drive. Since you are talking about Fiery I assume you mean the colorpass RIP attached to the copier. A CD with the software on it actually came with the RIP but it was probably swiped by the dealer. In any case it needs a SCSI CDROM in order to load it. But all is not lost. The hard drive actually keeps a backup of the software on the hard drive itself. Kinda like a system restore partition on some computers. When you switch it on hold down the top right button until the diagnostics pass. then press "restore backup". this will take quite some time. Once it is done you will have to go back into setup mode and re-enter all the network settings. Dont forget the default paper size.

Xerox Fiery Xp12 - Problem (INVALID LICENCE) apears on the screen

You will need to use what came with your machine.
The note from Xerox states this.

NOTE: You will need the Fiery Restore / Update Server Software CD and the User Documentation v2.0 CD that came with your EX12 v2.0 Software

And here is the loading process
  1. Visually check to make sure the Fiery LCD is at the Idle screen before you proceed. This will make sure the Fiery is not in use.
  2. Insert the Fiery Restore / Update Server Software CD into the Fiery EX12.
  3. Press [Menu] button on the Fiery Server.
  4. Press the [Down arrow] button.
  5. Press the [Shut Down] button.
  6. Press the [Reboot System] button. The message 'Rebooting System' will display and disappear after a few moments. The Fiery Server will reboot and complete internal testing. The Restore / Update CD menu will be displayed.

    NOTE: Ignore the message 'It's now safe to power off the system'.

  7. Press the [Up arrow] or [Down arrow] button to scroll to 'Restore System' so this is highlighted. Press the [OK] button. The 'All data will be Deleted. Continue?' message will be displayed.
  8. Press the [Up arrow] or [Down arrow] button to scroll to 'Yes' so this is highlighted. Press the [OK] button. The 'Restoring System...' message will be displayed.

    NOTE: The System Restore will take approximately 7 minutes, during this time the message 'Restoring System...' will continue to be displayed.

  9. Press the [OK] button when the 'Restore Complete!' message is displayed.
  10. Press the [Up arrow] or [Down arrow] button to scroll to 'Exit' so this is highlighted. Press the [OK] button.
  11. Remove Fiery Restore / Update Server Software CD from the EX12.
  12. Power OFF the Fiery Server. The power switch is located on the rear of the server, above the power cord.

    NOTE: Wait 10 seconds before powering ON.

  13. Power ON the Fiery Server. The Fiery Server will boot and complete a self-test.
  14. The EX12 will prompt you to insert the User Documentation CD. Insert the CD and the Fiery will continue with the process. When the process is complete, the Fiery LCD will display the message 'Please remove CD'.
  15. Remove the User Documentation CD
  16. Power OFF the Fiery Server. The power switch is located on the rear of the server, above the power cord.

    NOTE: Wait 10 seconds before powering ON.

  17. Power ON the Fiery Server. The Fiery Server will boot and complete a self-test.
  18. Using the Configuration Report as reference, re-enter the network settings on the EX12.
  19. Install any required patches, as needed. Refer to the Updated Information section on the Configuration Report.
  20. If needed, restore any data that you previously archived. See the Related Items.
