Virus or spy-ware can also cause this issue.
Sometimes if you have enough security a spy-ware can be trying to re-direct your browser but your security can be actually stopping it from doing so. This would cause the issues you are seeing.

If this is the case good for you as your concerns for anti-virus may well have saved you from something worse.

It may also be that you have too many applications running at once eg. lots of tool-bars and instant message type programs.

It can also happen on graphic intensive applications.

You should rule out nasty stuff first.

MBAM !

for a free one its pretty darned good !

From a CLEAN computer download and put on a flash drive.

Copy to your DESKTOP on the suspect computer.

Run it but don't change any options just use what it offers.

When its done let it clean anything it finds.

Its where I always start with an infected machine.

As for anti-virus AVOID Norton or Mcafee but try the AVG FREE version MBAM should clean up without buying

Only continued use would require purchase As for too many applications that would be up to you to decide what you REALLY need and don't. Most tool-bars are a waste of both time and space and can hog computers down. Maybe a good clean up is in order ?

It may just be a "leaking application"

These are badly coded programs that don't release memory when they should and just keep taking more to do the same job.

May I suggest you download
"hijackthis"

It is a program that can make a report on what you have running in such a way that you can post that information to certain sites and experts there will look at it.

They will then give you recommendations as to how you can remove programs or fix some issues that may be upsetting your computer.

Don't post the log here but follow the instructions and help the program offers to send it to one of the sites it will offer you.

If you understand startup lists you may even be able to spot some things yourself that you don't want to run and disable them from hijack this.

This problem is happen because of your connection may be lost in between when the internet search the web page so you need to identified your wi fi tower and router coverage proper or not. if not proper then change the router place and check the coverage is more then 3 tower then your internet connection is work proper

My iPad computer iPhone all say connected to wireless but unable to browse internet

Is there any chance that in the last 24 hrs (or whenever your Internet stopped working) that you added a cable box converter to your home network by plugging a LAN/ethernet jack into the back of the box? If you did, that would be the problem.

On your PC, go to the bottom left corner and type "CMD" in the search/run box. This will open a pop-up DOS window. Type "IP config" and hit the enter key on your keyboard. This will tell you the IP address of your computer. You may have to scroll up to see it, but if you're running your computer through a router, the IP address should be something like 192.168.1.xx (the xx stands for a 2-3 digit number that is specific to each device on your network and can only appear once; 2 devices cannot have the same IP address).

If the IP address is something like 192.168.100.xx - then your problem is the router giving your computer an invalid IP address. My network router was doing this same thing and it frustrated the heck out of me. Long story short, much Internet research revealed the problem was because I had my cable box (the one that connect directly to your TV) plugged into my network. As soon as I unplugged it and rebooted my modem and my router, the problem was resolved.

I hope that helps.

Belkin f9k11009v1, Macintosh unable to connect

First see if you are able to connect to the internet wired to the router,
-If you are able to connect using the wire connection then I suggest to turn off the wireless security settings for the time being and see what happens.

Wireless
See if you are able to ping your router.
Ref: http://www.wikihow.com/Ping-on-Mac-OS
-Make sure that the TCP/IP settings are set to DHCP and make sure that it is getting an IP address and Default Gateway.

If you are able to ping the router then see if you are able to ping google by name and by IP. (An IP address for google, com is 74.125.141.100)

If you are able to ping both then you should be able to access the internet.

If you are able to ping only the google's IP address then you have a DNS issue.
-See if you can set your DNS address manualy to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. Ref: https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/

If you are able to ping only google by name then see if you are able to access google by typing in the replied IP address in the address bar of your web browser on a computer that is working fine.
-If you are not able to access google with the address then you may have something stooping you on your machine. Check for firewalls and antivirus to see if they have any network configurations.

Unable to access a netgear router's web administration gui

Well, try the below steps to login to the interface:

1. Connect a computer to the router using any one of the 4 available ports.
2. Open a web browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Safari).
3. Access the router, usually by typing 'http://192.168.1.1' or 'http://www.routerlogin.com' in the address bar.
4. Login to the router with the Username as "admin" and Password as "password" (please note that the Username and Password are case sensitive).
Hope this allows you to resolve the issue.

Regards

Anand

I have router DI-524 and am unable to connect to internet thru this router. But it says, it is connected

I would do a hard reset by pushing the small button on the back. You will need a small pen to push it. Push and hold down button till the lights flash I would/ say 10-15 seconds should be good enough. Once it's reset try setting up all of your settings again. Remember if you have dsl you will need you username and password to be inputed in some cases. If it is broadband most likely you will not have to bother with username and pass hope this helps.

If a change in my firewall is preventing netgear router, i do i fix?

First, make sure the cables are properly connected, if using xDSL modem, it must be connected to the WAN port, the pc on the ethernet ports (any of the 4 ports available).
Second, check your current IP Address (default 192.168.1.x), then ping from your pc the ip address of the router (default 192.168.1.1). If OK, then your LAN connection works fine.
Third, ping any internet site, i.e. ping www.yahoo.com. if a reply response is received, your internet connection is now working.

If not, reset the router then do the initial set up from the router web page. Go to IE or mozilla browser, type http://192.168.1.1 (default ip add of router), the password or username is admin (default - refer to your manual). If already inside the page, go to the setup folder then proceed to configure the router. After all the configuration, check your internet connection, go to any web site.

Cannot E-mail pictures

You may have to check your internet connections first. Try and browse other web sites to verify internet connectivity. If you tried more than 3 web sites and are getting page cannot be displayed error messages then your internet connection may have been lost. Check your modem or cable connection.

One way to quickly check if you have internet connection is to go to your Windows "run" command box and on the box type "CMD" press enter. Once you type "cmd" inside the "RUN" box and press ENTER. This will "shell" out to a black DOS like screen. Type "IPCONFIG" press ENTER. Look at the "IP Address" and "Default Gateway" if this has a set of numbers ( IP Address) besides 169.0.0.0 or 172.0.0. the you have internet connection. Type "ping yahoo.com " (without the quotes) and press enter. If it comes back with at least 3 lines of "Reply from i.e 206.190.60.37.....etc, etc," theh you have definitely an internet connection
