If the fan works , probably the unit is low on refrigerant, which means there is a leak that has to be fixed and then recharge the unit .Also could be the defrost system (heaters ,terminator or deefrost timer ).

Coils ice up

My best guess is that the drain has some debris in it and the defrosted water from the coil is being picked up and being re-frozen against the coil and freezing up the drain pan. The defrost timer may have failed, the defrost termination button fastened to the coil may have failed, the defrost heater on the coil itself may have separated from the coil or just outright failed. Hope this helps and good luck.

Freezer side not freezing

Check for ice / frosting inside the freezer .... If present you probably have a defrost problem.... This causes the freezer coil to ice up and block the air flow ... the causes could be a bad defrost heater , defrost timer, defrost sensors, or control board. Also make sure that the condenser coil is clean. remove ALL dust with a vacuum and a coil brush .the coil is located either on the bottom or on the back side of the unit... ne of the most common reasons for the freezer to start failing is called "frost free failure." Ice can build up on the evaporator coils over time, and this ice builds up until it starts blocking the fan. The fan is responsible for circulating cold air throughout the freezer, so if it is blocked the freezer will not be able to freeze any food. You can usually check this by removing an access panel in the back of the freezer to inspect the coils. If ice is built up on the coils, a hairdryer can assist in defrosting them

The freezer side of the unit will freeze until it freezes over and will no longer keep the freezer frozen. The freezer then has to be defrosted so it can freeze again.

Freezer doesn't freeze anymore. Runs like a

On a chest freezer , the coils are located inside the walls of the freezer . The heat normally felt on the outside is the condensor coils inside the wall. The coldness felt on the inside is from the evaporator coils also inside the freezer wall .If the inside of the freezer has over 1/2 inch of frost , then defrosting may work . If NO frost on the inside , possible leak in the coils which are not accessable . Only solution is to replace the freezer . Anyone can buy refrigerant 134a which is what your freezer uses .

The 2 fans are not working but the freezer coils are freezing up won;t go below 20 degrees

the freezing is and temp are caused by the fans not working. One fan pulls warm air out of the box and across the evaporator coil, which in your case is frozen, and the other fan is used to pull air over the condensing coil which rejects the heat pulled out of the box. check the wiring diagram for a fan relay first, which can easily be changed out, or by some crazy chance, both fans quite working at the same time

The freezer will not freeze or keep its

Check to condenser coil and make sure it is clean and the fan near it is running when the compressor is on. Check for ice build up in the freezer. If the evaporator coil is iced up the box will run warm. It may be a defrost problem, a dirty condenser, or a refrigerant issue.

I have a Superior heavy duty commercial upright freezer that has stopped freezing. It gets cold but doesn't freeze. Is there a reset button on it? The compressor comes on but it's not getting cold enough...

Check if the condensing coil(the one by the compressor) is clog with dirt or grease ,if yes unplugged and clean it real good with a degreaser , also make sure the fan works , if all this is ok and you see the coil inside is partially frozed up ,could be that is low in refrigerant what means there's a leak that has to be fixed before recharge the unit.
