SOURCE: Kyocera FS 4000 DN printer stops printing for no reason.

Try the feed tires in the tray first. More than likely the paper is not being picked up and causing jam message. The separation roller also has a hub on it to prevent a second sheet from feeding. Sometimes these start to lock up ,a little oil on the hub sometimes relieves some of the tension.

SOURCE: Says there is a paper jam and to open top cover

When your reports paper jam for any reason, whether there is paper jam or not, most times you need to go thruogh paper jam clearing procedure to have your printer printing again. So please follow the procedure below:-

Clearing paper jam in a printer is simple almost seven step procedure depending on the printer. Paper jam is the term used to refer to the scenario where your paper fails to come out of the printer during the print process. When you send a document to the printer, normally the printer prints out the document on a paper; then you can pick up your printed copy. When the paper gets stuck in the printer, it is said that paper has jammed in the printer "paper jam".

Even if you are not a technical person, you can conveniently clear paper jams. All you need is to follow the set of procedures outlined below.

Put off the printer and unplug it from its power source.

Open all the covers/shutters on the printer (usually you will find one in the front or top and one at the back of the printer).

(If the printer is a DeskJet, otherwise ignore this step) Now pull out the cartridge carefully and place it on safe surface. (Be careful not to place it where it may slide and fall. This could damage the cartridge)

Site the paper that has jammed and pull it out in the opposite direction of its movement. Do not pull in the direction it was coming out. (Pulling the paper in the opposite direction is important for the printer's mechanism. Printer must be off). Never pull out paper from a printer when the printer is powered on.

(If the printer is a DeskJet, otherwise ignore this step) Return the cartridge gently and press it firmly inside so that you here it snap inside.

Close all covers at the top, front or back.

Power on your printer and you should be able to print again.

Good luck and God bless!

SOURCE: My Kyocera FS-2000D always says

The problem should be with the transfer roller.

Open top cover and remove developer unit by pulling (it's under toner).
Open left side cover. Reomve the waste toner box by pulling a lever in its neck. There wil be a gray buttom on the drum unit. If you push it, you can pull out the drum unit. Better safe then sorry, avoid direct light, and any other dabage-hazard. The Drum is really very sesible indeed. Place it somewhere in safe and secure.

I you now opet top cover, and take your hand into the hole, you can realize, if the transfer roller isn't moving.

Try to rotate it by cw and ccw. Don't pollute this area! The only one thing you can do to wipe the transferroller softly.

Then put bak the drum, the waste t. box. The gray bottom in the drum unit have to stand vertically. Push it ttill it "click".

Then put back the developer unit with the toner.

Try to squeeze the side covers softly by bare hands. Furthermore do the same with top cover. Close rear unit if nessesary.

Try to cleaan the pickup rollers in the begining of the paper tray.

Try to replace the papers.

I hope my answer will help you.

I used to have the same problem.

Fell free to ask!

I have a piece of paper stuck in the top of my hp 1012 printer and I cannot get at the area where the paper is.

Follow these steps to remove jammed paper from the printer

.
1.Open the print cartridge door, and then remove the print cartridge.
NOTE:  Opening the print cartridge door and removing the print cartridge relieves tension on the product rollers, which prevents damage to the product and makes the removal of jammed pages easier.

I have a problem. When I turn on my printer, the first symbol from top constantly blinks and it doesn't print anything. How can I solve this issue?

Welcome to FixYa!

If the first symbol on the top is constantly blinking as shown in the picture below, It means that a paper or a foreign object has jammed your printer.

jas247_22.gif

Jam can occur in 3 areas. Please refer to the image below.
1. Internal Areas
2. Input Trays
3. The Output Bins
jas247_23.gif

To clear the jam, turn the printer off and disconnect the power cord. Be careful not to tear the paper in case of a paper jam. If a small piece of paper remains in the printer, it could cause additional paper jam.

Let's clear out the Internal Areas first. Push the button to open the print-cartridge door, and then remove the print cartridge. To prevent damage, do not expose the print cartridge to light. Cover it with a piece of paper. Please refer to the image below.

jas247_24.gif
If jammed paper is visible, grasp it with both hands and slowly pull it out of the printer. Please refer to the image below.
jas247_25.gif
If no paper was jammed inside the print-cartridge door, open the Output Bin or the back door
of the printer. To avoid damaging the printer, do not attempt to clear a jam in the top output bin by pulling the paper straight out.
jas247_26.gif
Again, if jammed paper is visible, grasp it with both hands and slowly pull it out of the printer.
If no paper or foreign object is visible, close the back door of the printer.

Next, let's take a look at the Input Tray. (We have already taken out the print cartridge.)
Lift the Tray 1 roller cover, grasp the jammed paper or foreign object, and slowly pull it out of the printer. Please refer to the image below.
jas247_28.gif
If no jammed paper is or foreign object is visible, open Tray 2 and see if a paper is visible. Again remove it slowly with both hands. Please refer to the image below.
jas247_29.gif
Close Tray 2.
If no jammed paper is visible in the second tray area, pull down the upper media guide (we have already taken out the print cartridge). With both hands, grasp the jammed paper and slowly pull it out of the printer. Please refer to the image below.
jas247_30.gif
Close the upper media guide and return back the print cartridge. Please refer to the image below.
jas247_27.gif

These steps should clear out any jams that you are experiencing.
Connect back the power cord again and turn on your printer. You should be able to print now.

Thanks for using FixYa. Keep me posted.

It's been a while since I worked on a 4200. Will it print if you keep the back door open?
If yes, does it jam?
If yes, and it doesn't jam, replace the paper delivery assembly(RM1-0026-040CN)

HP LJ P3005 13.31.00 ERROR

Hi,
As i can understand whenever you try to print with rear door closed printed page should come on top from top output roller however paper gets jammed.
Solution:
Try to print a page using rear door open and it should come out from the rear drop down tray it printed page comes out successfully with rear flap open than paper gets jammed at top due to faulty top output roller.
However if the paper gets jammed at fuser with rear door closed than it is issue with fuser in that case you need to get fuser replaced at the same time replace 20 tooth gear next to fuser.

Paper jam after first page prints.

Most likely something in the printer or software is set to an improper paper size. It's saying jam because it prints the first page and registers an incorret size.

Check BOTH the printer itself and the program you're printing from.

I was wrong...

This is a common issue if you are using generic or remanufactured toner cartridges. However, if you are using authentic Samsung cartridges, then check that the paper size is correctly defined in the application you are printing from (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.). If both issues are ok, then my last guide is to take the unit to an Authorized Service Center and have the paper path senors replaced.
