Camera only works with flash turned off

My MJU 410 , will only take pictures with flash turned off , sometimes but rarely it will work and then stays working until I turn camera off , tried a new battery , no difference , the green and orange lights sometimes flash like a mad thing .I noticed Olympus stopped selling this model just after I bought mine.
