Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console
Welcome to the 20% One Red Club
Let me introduce you to the primary problem or A.K.A.
G.P.U. connection failure .The cause HEAT from the
chip slightly distorts the P.C. board . then when
it cools the board contracts . After a few 100-1000 cycles
the connections stress and break open Then anything and
almost everything goes wrong.
So just solder the Goofey chip back to the board
right? not quite . After the G.P.U. is re-flowed it
needs to be properly clamped with support
in order to produce a reliable repair . Some units
are lemon's, granted but I believe that a fair amount
of the failing unit are salvageable. At this point.
