My icemaker motor keeps freezing up. I can take

My icemaker motor keeps freezing up. I can take it out, let it thaw and it will work for a few hours, then freeze up again. Obviously, water from the defroster is freezing up on the motor and causing not to turn. I have noticed that the freezer turns off for awhile, even if I turn the temp all the way up. This causes defrosting, water on the ice maker motor, and it stops working. What's wrong?

Check your ice machine to be level, most are installed level, but then the installers tilt the machine back just a bit to assist in door closure, if your ice machine is even slightly out of level, it will over fill and clogg the motor the very first ice cycle

Why does my central air keep freezing up?

An air conditioner freezing up is either low airflow or low on refrigerant. If the filter is clean, then check the refrigerant level, blower running at proper speed, make sure indoor coil is not dirty or restricted. Make sure that the duct outlets are all open and some have not been closed.

Replace motorized damper

It may be possible that water is splashing from the icemaker fill tub and running down into the fan area and freezing. When the refrigerator goes into defrost the ice thaws and the noise stops.

Ice Maker Not Making Ice BUT making a "trying" sound

Likely that the water supply tube to the icemaker is frozen. It will be a white rubber tube on the right side of the icemaker. Warm it with a hair dryer, remove it from its aluminum tubing, and make sure there is no ice all the way back to where the supply tube comes from the water valve. After thawing, your icemaker should start working again.

Now..... why did it freeze? Most likely, there is a restricted airflow to the back of the unit, which is need to keep that aluminum supply tube just warm enough to assure all the water flow OUT of it into the icemaker, and doesn't freeze up on contact. Make sure your coils and the airspace under the fridge are completely clean (vacuuum them well) and it should cure the problem.

Whirlpool fridge model WF-NL300 ice maker not working. No water in icemaker. Black water supply tube that fills icemaker was frozed solid with ice. I thawed it in a cup of hot water. Unsure if line could...

Turn ice maker off for 24 hours to thaw out any additional frozen lines.
Make sure that you do have water from source to unit. Water valve grit screen may be clogged with debrie or water valve is bad.
