Mitsubishi WD52527 Pinstripe vertical red lines

Every time on turn on the set these small vertical red pinstriped lines show up. They usually go away after a while but for the past two days they have stayed on the picture. What do I do?

Hi , it seems you are experimenting a light engine problem. Here's how your tv works: Basically there's 3 LCD chips that create the colors and image by blending together. When these chips start to melt you will get those blue spots, pixilation even vertical lines. You will need to replace the light engine replacing the bulb will not solve your issue. Have a blessed one!

Sony KF50WE610 Vertical Blue Lines Across Screen

the vertical blue lines indicate some interference from other electronic gadgets near your tv. it started showing up on my sony grand wega when i installed my wireless modem. i almost ordered a new rear projection lamp costing over $100 but decided to experiment. i first moved my desk computer farther away from the tv then isolated the wireless modem router by placing it inside a small glass - the vertical blue lines became lighter in color so i dedided to find another small glass that fit inside the first glass container then put the router in the double glass - no more blue lines and my wireless modem router still works.
do some deductive thinking to figure out what's messing up your tv and isolate the interference.
good luck!

Red and green pinstripes!!!

If the fluid hit the circuit boards, the problem has gotten worse. The loss of fluid wont hurt the CRT, but the boards don't like liquids at all. In lucky cases, you can clean up the fluid and it will work again. CAREFUL the fluid is toxic and cancer causing. Clean it safely, wash hands after touching. If cleaning doesn't help, you will need to repair the board and possible re-seal the CRT.

Have power but no sound or picture

Do you have high voltage? Check by turning up one of the screen controls to see if you have retrace lines.(pinstripe diagonal lines across the screen) If present turn the screen control back down until the lines just disappear. Check diodes 6003, 6012, 6025, and resistor 3669. If you don`t get a retrace line by turning up the one of the screen controls, check for missing voltages or shorted components in the horizontal output and power supply circuits. Note: Philips TV`s can be tricky even for experienced technicians. Good luck

Mitsubishi WD52527 lamp light

Replace the lamp, model 915P028010.  There is a lamp door on the back left bottom of the set (while looking at it from the back).  Take off the door (two screws) and then take off the two screws holding the lamp in place and pull on the handle.  Replace the lamp the same way.  Then make sure to clean the air filters (below the lamp, two screws; and bottom right).  If the set gets too hot it may destroy the set and/or the lamp.  Also, don't turn the set on and off again within a few moments.  It will destroy the lamp.  Take it from someone who had the same problem, keep the filters clean by cleaning at least once every couple of months....Dave
