Question about RCA HD52W56 52" Rear Projection HDTV

My RCA Tv has a concave picture!!!

I turned my TV on this morning and the screen is concave and the color is off.....It is a RCA 52" flat screen projection TV. Help!

Convergence problems. FIrst try going into customer setup and seeing if convergence options are there and if adjustments can be made. unfortunately when the picture is bowed like that it idicates a complete loss of convergence which idicates one of three boards have gone bad.

The picture has a triple image

Very common and easy fix. Install the RCA repair kit called ' ITC222 and ITC222A convergence option missing repair kit. Its available from and contains the parts and the CD with repair instructions.

the convergence power supply module has failed
if you go into the menu you will not find convergence adjustments in the menu
the power supply module can be repaired
or you may want to get local help
if you want to try to repair you can get parts at mcm or encompas or

Screen has double images on both sides, picture looks concaved. tv goes back and forth in this mode from normal to concaved

IC chips are Failing, and or A few Resistors in the Convergence circuit. Commen problem for Projection sets!... OneGeo.

sounds like your color guns are out of alignment and need adjusting. its a cheap fix with a tv tech but i wouldnt recommend doing it yourself. plus, a visit from a tech can tell you if there is anything else wrong/about to b wrong

Red Blue and Green colors are not aligned and looks concave

replace fuse looks like cap next to flyback transfomer FL231 it will be the one in the middle.there are 3 of them next to FBT.

concave and colors off indicate the convergence cuircit is bad. which can be one of three boards. sorry
