Question about Acer AL1715 (Black, Silver) 17" LCD Monitor
My computer does not stay on long enough to do anything but when i go to safe mode i do a defrag and it doesn't help
I can't do a format on the c drive because it won't let me
is it anyway i can reinstall from some type of command in safe mode
Sounds like video driver problem. If you can get to safe mode, you need to change the monitor driver to standard vga (go through control panel to display//advanced tab//adaptor tab//driver tab// then click uninstall. Windows should then start after a reboot and ask for the drivers for your card.
This seems to be a common issue where the refresh frequency or resolution gets changed/corrupted causing an unsupported one to be selected. Most modern video cards go to very high resolutions, but the monitors don't.
