Drop your cellphone or other electronic device in water?

Well after a few expletives you need get the phone/device dry as fast as possible.

  1. Remove the battery from the phone. Note: you cannot remove battery from iPhones. Keeping the battery in and trying to turn it on could possibly short circuit the device. Make sure device is completely dry before turning it on.
  2. Get a container of dry white rice (yes you read correctly) and put the device and battery in the container making sure you cover them completely leaving it for 24hrs.

This should remove the moisture from the device put the battery in and all should be good in the world again. Keep in mind this can be used for any device i.e, ipods, cameras, mp3 players etc. Other suggestions would be to use those tiny silica packets found in shoe boxes etc which also meant to soak up moisture.

The last technique would be to use a hair dryer however make sure you dont overheat. Also keep it away from the touchscreen if the device has one. Good Luck!

Water spilled on ipod still works on docking station

Your home and/or ON/OFF button circuits may be oxidated from the water. You cannot fix this yourself. Find an authorized Apple service center nearby

I washed my iPod Shuffle in my jeans pocket and have already tried turning it on and plugging it into the computer (with no luck). Is there any hope/What do I do now?

Yes. I believe there is still hope! Just wait until it is completely dry. You don't want to short circuit it by turning it on when it has water still in it, so wait for everything to dry before trying it again.

Ipod touch (2nd Gen) with water damage

The touch screen is not physically attached to the screen, if water was anywhere near the bottom of the ipod it may have triggered the water damage unit inside the bottom. Water also may have leaked into the unit frying the circuits. You'll have to visit an Apple store or Apple.com/support for repair.

How to put games in ipod classic 120 gb?

Plug your iPod in and open iTunes, select your device and you should see a picture of your iPod model with some details about it to the side, now look up and you should see a bunch of tabs that say "Music," "Videos," etc. click the one that says "Games," check the box that says "Sync selected Games," now select the games you want on your iPod.
Hope this helps!

Your first attempt to turn on a washed iPod is the critical one. If you're too quick to try to power it up and the water inside shorts out the electronics, you're done. You can try waiting until the iPod is really dry and power it on again; maybe it didn't short out the first time. But chances are, if you tried once and it didn't work, the damage has been done. There are several ways to try to dry out a soaked iPod….You can put it on a widow seal that gets a lot of sun for 2 days (that is usually your best bet but…I have even heard of people who have put their soaked iPod in a ziplock bag with kitty litter in it. For a few days…..You will more then likely need to do a reset on the iPod either way…..Here is a link to do the reset http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1320?viewlocale=e...) Good Luck and please leave me a rating…..Both ways worked for me…..dang thing is just too small and I forget to check my pockets all the time…
