Make sure the switch on your gas valve inside the cabinet is in the "on" position and that all gas valves are open. If so, probably a bad gas valve.

LG DLG7188WM gas dryer is not igniting

There are 3 things that will make a gas dryer not ignite. 1. the main controller 2. high limit thermostat, which disconnects power to the igniter if the dryer overheats 3. the electronic or electric igniter. There are 2 types of igniters static that sounds like a ticking noise before it lights and a thermal that glows red hot to ignite the burner. Most dryers will attempt to ignite 3 times and will shut down if the burner does Not ignite to keep unburned gasses from being expelled.
With the front cover off also called the kick pan, look at the burner assembly and you will either see the spark igniter (like a giant spark plug) or the thermal igniter glow red hot. If the igniter does not activate, and the drum is turning, it is either the igniter, or the high limit thermostat stuck in the open position and needs to be replaced.
Both can be purchased from EBAY and will save you lots of money.

It could be the flame sensor. It is located in the burner box Opposite from the ignitor. It is a metal rod with a porcelain base. The flame sensor "senses" a small electric current through the flame. If the sensor is dirty it can impede the electrical current and cause the control board to lock out. Remove the sensor and clean the rod with some steel wool or sandpaper. Reinstall and see if this solves the problem. Hope this helps.

I have a coleman furnace it comes on the electric igniter glows red the gas comes on then the blower starts and the fire goes out it gives 2 different code for this 1 is ignition failure and the other is...

I would have the ignition control board replaced. That is what tells the gas valve to come on and if there is flame or ignition it will keep the gas on if the flame sensor gives the board a signal that the burner is lite. By you shuting power off and on to the furnace it resets the board and it will go through its cycle again.

Electric and battery working fine but gas will not come on. It keeps clicking and then the red light comes on

Hello,

Assuming this is on a travel trailer / RV, correct?

The red "check" light indicates that the fridge was not able to detect the presence of a flame from the burner area. This could be due to low LP gas pressure (causes different flame size), no LP gas (tanks are exhausted / turned off), damaged wiring going to the igniter / sense electrodes, defective gas valve, or damaged igniter / control board.

Just replaced idnitor and flame sensor on a bryant model 376c and its still not kicking on. blower kicks on fans kick on and then cycles off. no heat need help

Make sure all wires are connected and the gas is on. Follow the sequence of operation for this model and a few tips on what could be the issue.

On a call for heat, the 24 volt thermostat sends a signal to the control module. The control module will indicate a call for heat with a light on the control either blinking or remain solid depending upon model. The inducer (exhaust) blower will purge all gasses from the furnace and pressurize a pressure switch. Once the pressure switch tells the module to continue, the electronic ignition will energize and send 120 volts to the igniter. The igniter will glow and you will be able to see it if viewed thru the small inspection port. Once the igniter gets hot enough, it sends a signal to the module opening up the gas valve (24 volts). Either a pilot will come on or the burner tube will ignite then spread the flame to all burners. Lastly a safety sensor will be looking for a certain temperature within a few seconds and the furnace will continue to operate and the room air blower will turn on in a minute or two.

What could go wrong? The unit will not run if there is no signal from the thermostat (bad thermostat or broken wire), the control module does not sense a signal from the thermostat (bad control), the inducer does not energize (bad motor), the pressure switch does not close (blocked vent piping, bad switch, plugged condensate hose), the igniter does not energize (bad control, bad igniter), the gas valve does not open or there is no gas (bad gas valve, broken wire, no gas), the pilot does not light (dirty pilot), the burner does not light (bad burner, plugged orifice, not enough combustion air), the flame does not spread to each burner (bad flame spreader, dirty flame spreader, more bad burners), the flame safety sensor does not detect flame (dirty or bad flame spreader, bad flame sensor, broken wire, bad control), or the room air blower does not energize (bad fan motor, bad control).

Goodman furnace, inducer blower comes on, but surface igniter does not turn red, then kind of goes thru a cycle then igniter gets red burners light and then go out for no reason. Blower motor comes on @...

In the burner compartment opposite of the ignitor is the flame sensor. seems to be dirty. one screw holds it in. Remove and clean with a wire brush.

The flame sensor is not activating the gas valve. Check or change sensor.

sounds like you have bad flame sensor or the sensor is in a bad postition. To get eliminate the lockout turn the power off to the unit and back on again. Look at the circuit board light and see what the troubleshooting code is.

Rheem gas furnace pilot lights, but no burners or fan

If the burners do not fully ignite, the sensor will shut the furnace down. The lack of sufficient burner flame is a gas valve or gas pressure problem within the valve.
Replacing the gas valve with the original one may get you going. I surely suggest a professional service company for safety reasons and a thorough inspection. A 20 year old furnace is past it's normal life span.

Ignitor problem?

if you remove the 2 screws on the right and left bottom plate and open the door and youll see 2 screws that panel will come off turn the oven on and you should see 2 burners on both sides and they should ignite.if they do and go right out you could have 2 problems.when the burners light they hit a probe called a flame sense.this probe plugs into a heat board and if the board doesnt sense the flame you will get a red no ignition light.clean the probes that sit right on the burners with sandpaper and see what happens,if that doesnt work if the unit has pilots clean the pilot orfice and if that doesnt work the heat board may be bad.how old is the unit?
