F2 code and consistent beeping with my Maytag Electric Wall Oven model CWE5800 or CWE4800

The oven was working and then stopped and started flashing an F2 error code. Now the overn won't work. What is this code for?

Mistakenly identified error code, actual error code is F1. I was told that the code referred to the clock/control pad. Is this correct? Does the clock/control pad come in one piece or are there multiple components I should be looking for?. Is this something that I could possibly replace on my own? Thank you for your help!

Have had the same problem TWICE - had repair once to the tune of $300 + a couple of years ago and now it is doing it again - I just flip the circuit breaker back temporarily when I want to cook with the oven. It doesn't beep for me if I am using the oven. The beeping occurs sporadically - sometimes I can go days with the oven not beeping and then it does. I really feel this is a problem the company knows about and should do a recall on.

Bought oven brand new 01/06/04. During holiday dinner preparation 12/25/04 my display began flashing F2 or 3, I can't remember and we eventually had to turn of the circuit breaker to get rid of it and finish our cooking. Had a repairman finally look at it 9/30/05, cost $116.60 and still to this day we get the F2's and F3's and have to play that game of turning off the circuit breaker creating a work around. Maytag sucks. I will never buy Maytag anything every again.

Bought maytag double oven cwe5800acb brand new 01/06/04. During holiday
    dinner preparation 12/25/04 my display began flashing F2 or 3, I can't
remember. Cooking stopped, beeping wouldnt so and we eventually had to
turn it off at the circuit breaker. We got it on again and finished our
cooking. After that time it happened again and again but
inconsistantly. We finally had a repairman check it out on 9/30/05,
costing $116.60. Didnt help within a month we had more F2's and F3's
and we still to this day have to play the work around game of turning
off the circuit breaker. Maytag sucks. I will never buy Maytag anything
every again. I wish I would have had our old oven repaired instead of
replacing it with this electronic ****. Oh, here is another good
one-sometimes in the middle of the night it will begin beeping and
flashing its little code, hours after any cooking took place.

The F2 code indicates a stuck relay. You will have to replace the relay board. It may be a stand alone board or it may be part of the ERC Electronic Range Control. If you know how to check you won't have to call a tech.

replaced the relay. Didn't fix it. I ended up purchasing a used stove that is working well.

Before u putout $40 for a new sensor wiggle all your connections from the sensor to the control board. That solved my F2 issue. I found a parts place in Ontario that repairs controls if yours is obsolite

How do I replace the bottom oven element on my Maytag CWE5800?

This shouldn't be too difficult. Make sure the power is off. Remove the screws that hold the oven element in place. carefully pull the element out from the back wall without losing the wires back in the holes. Install the wire on the new element push it back in the wall. Reinstall the screws and you are set. Turn the power back on and check to make sure the oven cycles when it reaches the set temperature.

Oven heats & then beeps code F2EO then stops heating

F2 - E0 Shorted keypad (also called touch pad)

1. Check keypad connector for firm connection (keypad connects to control board).
2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate keypad in to control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board (also called ERC or clock).
Here is that part to order.

As oppesed to the control itself i believe the touchpad is the colprut it plugs into the control and its a lot less expensive. The model number listed on your question, please replay with full exact model off the label which on that wall oven is either on a label by the door hinges or on the bottom or the control console between it the console and top edge of door. reply with that and i will give you the part number for that touchpad.

Maytag electric range, older model. What is a beeping, flashing code F2

F2- oven too hot. usually due to a bad oven temperature sensor. they sense the temperature of the oven by changing resistance, and can keep the element hot, or turn it off.

F2 and F3 code appearing along with annoying beeping

i think f3 error code has something to do with the temp probe maybe it is the problem. the temp probe is located if you open the door directly in the back wall. it looks like a prong. should read 1100ohms the f2 error code though usually has something to do with the keypad i would check all the connections maybe they are loose.

Dacor single oven flashes an F2 error code and won't stop beeping!!!

This is from manufacture service manual:

-F2- Alarm Heating Mode High Temperature
Is activated when the ERC senses a runaway heat condition or when the temperature exceeds
“runaway limits”. The ERC will beep until the cancel or another function is selected. If the alarm
repeats the F2 alarm check the oven sensor and wiring after fi rst checking for a stuck relay. If alarm
goes away verify the oven will complete a clean cycle without any type of failure.
Another words the problem with oven sensor or relay board.
