Best to add humidistat to AC or purchase stand alone dehumidifier. For Florida summers, house unoccupied

That would depend upon the size of the dwelling. If it is a smaller, open-concept type of place, a stand-alone will work fine. If it to operate unattended, you would need to have a drain available to collect the moisture collected so the unit would not fill up and shut off. If the place is larger or has many rooms where air flow is restricted, then the humistat is the better option, since it will use the homes HVAC system to recycle the air and remove the excess humidity. Also, since the A/C coil in the air handler is already connected to a drain, moisture removal becomes a non-issue.

Tasciugo dehumidifer about 10 years old has started to leak. I have cleaned filter and spout water drips from is there anything else I should do. ?

Drips from where?
Find the source of the drip and seal it with rubber or waterproof tape.
If there is no pressure at the leak, this should cure it.
If you have trouble locating the leak, dry off everything and operate the
dehumidifier while you watch for the appearance of the moisture. Where
it first appears is probably the leaking location.

Unit is not pulling any moisture. I took off the cover and removed all the lint buildup on the coils and filter and it still doesn't work.

So far, you've completed all the right tings, that I would have suggested. Now, take a look at the humidity setting on the dehumidifier. If it's set high (above 65%) there's not much chance that the unit will collect any humidity. It simply is just maintaining what it's set on. Lowering the setting to 35% will have a much better affect in removing the humidity/moisture.

There is an in home test you can do, to make sure the unit is working properly. Place the dehumidifier in the center of a bathroom and turn the shower ON hot enough to generate steam. Turn the humidifier ON and Set the level at 35%. Do Not turn the bathroom's exhaust fan ON or leave a window open in the bathroom. As you exit the bathroom, close the door and wait 15 to 20 minutes before returning. After entering the bathroom, turn the shower OFF and allow the unit to run for 5 more minutes. Then check the bucket for signs of water. If you find any, the unit is working as it should. Also. the dehumidifier, when in operation should have a minimum of 2 feet of clear air space around it. The fans on many units run almost constantly, to recirculate the air and if any increase in humidity is sensed, the compressor will turn ON. This is particularly true, if you operate it in continuous mode, rather than a timed mode. Also, be sure that all exterior doors and windows are closed when the unit is in operation.

If after doing the in home test, the bucket did not show any signs of water, either the humidity sensor has failed and needs to be replaced or the compressor needs to be recharged with refrigerant. If you don't feel comfortable trying to repair the unit yourself, the following is a link that will help you locate an authorized LG Repair Center in your area.

Find out what the cost to repair the unit will be, before committing to it. As your model has been discontinued and it may be less expensive to but a new unit. Hope this helped you. Please let me know.

Santa fe dehumidifier running but not producing any condensate. No ice forming on the coils and filter is clean.

You should check if the compressor is running. Your description makes it appear that the fan may be running and the compressor may not be running.

There are many things that can cause a compressor to cease running:

Open defrost thermostat
Bad run capacitor
Low refrigerant charge (caused by refrigerant leak)
Bad compressor relay
Bad compressor overload
Bad compressor motor

Other things to check:

If the fan switch is set to "on" and the humidity control is set to a high humidity level, the unit may appear to be running, but the compressor will not operate. Check the setting of your humidity control.

If the dehumidifier is operating in a room with a high temperature and a low dew point (very low relative humidity), it may be unable to remove any more moisture from the air.

If you are not comfortable troubleshooting the unit on your own, call the manufacturer service department at 1-800-533-7533, EXT 8459. They are very helpful.

(New Unit) Motor Runs, Does Not Extract Moisture

Try setting you temperature or fan speed lower this may help.
In order for the unit to remove moisture the coil has to be below the dewpoint.

Dehumitifier wont condense water

This happened to me after the unit was turned on after being off all winter. I've had it just two years. After speaking with "support" I gather that it needs a new condenser, perhaps just because the freon may have escaped. It may be a sealed unit. Anyway, the math works out to simply discarding it and buying a new one. For me, this means not buying a DeLonghi. By the way, their service centers are strategically placed in remote areas to attract the fewest claims HD

Unable to control the maching

Are you sure that this is a timer issue because my research does not list this unit with a timer. It does have a humidistat which could give the operation that you describe depending on where the humidity level is set. You should be able to go to the menu and select the mode that the unit is in. If it is set to run until a certain moisture level is reached it sounds as though your unit is probably working the way it is supposed to. Generally that is the mode that most people would want. If you want it to remove more moisture readjust this setting to a lower percentage. Your operation manual should explain the procedure. Good luck.
