Connect to the computer and see if you can get it to respond. Make sure you keep all your firmware updated too.

If you connect to Windows Explorer you can try and delete video file, and free up the memory so the device will start functioning better.

Delete the videos stored in My Computer\Sansa e200\selected
drive\video. (The player database will refresh after deleting files when
    you disconnect from your computer.)

    - Try other USB ports, cable or computers

    - Try other USB ports on your computer. A USB port behind a PC usually has the most power output.

    - Try a different cable if there's one available, to rule out a cable malfunction.

    - Try another computer.

    2 - Refresh the drivers

STEP 1 - Connect the Sansa player to the PC

If the device doesn't respond to the computer you have to reset.
This option will reset all the Sansa e200 player’s settings back to
factory defaults. This may mean taken out battery to reset.

If the Sansa e200 player freezes up, press the Power Button for
approximately 15 seconds. This is like a power down of the device. Once
you perform the reset, the adjustments you made during the last operation
    will be gone.

If the device is still unresponsive even after reset. It is time to take out the battery. And hope it will power up properly.

All the "try USB ports and computer" is an error from a copy and paste, I did earlier.

Creative zen v problems-frozen

If a reset does not work using the reset hole, then try this: First, back up all of your music and do this: Turn off the player and disconnect it from the computer. Then press and hold the play/puse button and turn it on simultaneously. The player should be in recovery mode. Scroll down and select format (all) and let it format. Then reload all of music back onto your player and it should work like new. Hope this helps!

Computer doesn't recognize MP3 player -

I had the same problem, all you have to do is first turn on the Mp3.Then go to settings. Then go down to USB mode. It will probably say, auto detect. But instead scroll down to MSC. If that doesn't work try MTP.

Pb for my sandisk m230 mp3 player

Same thing happened to me... try this...
1) disconnect all cables
2) turn power on (hold menu button until screen lights up)
3) Press "menu"
4) scroll down to "settings"
5) scroll down to "USB"
6) select "MSC" (default is probably auto detect - which I think there's a conflict with)
7) turn power off (holding the menu button down)
8) connect USB to computer and hopefully start loading files

I bought 2 of the 512 models, one didn't work... so I took it back and had to buy a 2gig model... got home and it didn't work! I tried the above for the new one and at least the computer recognizes it! Everything seems to work fine...for now...
