First make sure that the code has not been noted somewhere within the car (underneath the ash tray, glove box , rear of sun visor etc)

To see if your code is available here for free then the radio will have to be removed from the dashboard (and if you are lucky, someone may have written the code on the casing ) .

If not then POST ANOTHER QUESTION

quoting the radio MAKE+MODEL plus ALL the LETTERS+NUMBERS on ANY LABELS ,BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING
Make sure you quote EVERYTHING

Also quote the MAKE of CAR

note: Unfortunately not all radios can be decoded using the Serial Number

If not then try your Main Dealer ...........or take it into a Decode Service who will plug in a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM). This takes a few minutes and shouldn`t be too expensive

STEREO CODE IS NEEDED TO REBOOT THE STEREO SYSTEM

your best bet is that there maybe a 5 digit number in your glove compartment ..if there isn't there maybe a longer digit number in that case you need to call a dealership and ask them for a radio code and just follow what they tell you to do

Hi rds 5000 radio in fiesta i used the radio code finder and entered the code but it didnt unlock there is a sticker on the radio saying it has been recoded but company wants 25 quid to tell me the code...

Hi,

The code for this radio according to that serial is 2 3 7 3

IMPORTANT: However, if the radio has been recoded as you say then this code will not work as the factory code will have been changed. In this case you have no option other than to send it in to a decoder to be reset by specialist software. It has to be physically connected to software to do this - so they cannot tell you the code when the original code has been changed without using this equipment.

Sorry but there is no other way around it!!

It may well be worth your while to put the 25 quid towards an aftermarket radio. You can pick up a decent Sony from Halfords for 50 pounds for example.

Might be worth considering if the code I have given you does not work due to the previous repair.

I need a stereo code for a Vauxhal Corsa, 2001

First, check the glove box in your car, look for a card that has the code.

If you could not find the card, you need to take the radio out and get the serial number that's on the side. Then contact the car dealer or the manufacturer and they will provide you the code that you need.

The radio code that you are looking for is also called the 'anti-theft' code. It is unique with every car radio so no one could give you that code except for the dealer or the manufacturer.

Good luck and have a great day!

Stereo Anti-theft code?

Go to the Vehicle MFG Dealership. They are the only one's that can retrieve your code. Generally they will charge 20-25 to do this. Hope this helps

Instructions to unlock stereo

If you don't want to spend the 135, find out the name of the dealer who origonally sold the car when new. They should have the code on file form the pre inspection that they did. It is a myth that there is a code inside the trunk or on the radio, so don't waste your time looking.

Unlocking radio

I have this problem almost everytime I have to do it.  It's such a rare occasion.  If I remember correctly, just press and hold the key that moves you to the next number... the >>| key, I believe.  After a couple seconds it'll beep & open up (provided you have the correct code).
