Ryobi 725r trimmer carburetor adjustment

Turn both low and high adjustment screws carefully clockwise all the way in - do not overtighten.. Then back out each two full turns. Set the idle speed control for highest setting. Prime and start and let it run and warm up for about 15 seconds - then lower the rpms a tad and then adjust the low end screw for highest rpm. Then reset the idle to lower reasonable level. You may have to go back and forth with those two adjustments till it runs fine at low idle speed..

Then accelerate to highest speed and set the high adjustment for highest rpm. Then go from idle to high speed. If not smooth a small adjustment on the high speed screw is in order. Keep doing that until you get a nice smooth transition form low speed to high speed.

Hi, I have a Mac-3200 and need to know where to set the 3 carb. screws at. T, low and high I don't have a manual Thank you. Z-man

Most guys adjust them 'by ear'. Warm up the saw (hopefully you can get it to start), and set the high speed by opening the screw until it sounds like it is 'burbling' at wide open throttle. DO NOT adjust until it is screaming at its highes attainable rpm !!!! If you do, the mixture will be so lean it will damage the saw under repeated heavy load. Leaving it 'burble' at WOT (wide open throttle) will ensure that proper lubrication will be available in the cut. Under load, the burble will disappear and the saw should pull strong and not overheat, damage the piston or score the cylinder wall.

Next set the low speed screw until there is no hesitation in rpm increase when the trigger is pulled. Some suggest setting the low speed first then the high speed so you may have to readjust the high speed once the low speed is done.

The idle screw should be adjusted to where the chain is NOT rotating the guide bar at idle. If it continues to move, the idle is too high.

What is the factory setting for lowand high screws on 25cc craftsman blower

If the two screws are side by side, one is the high speed mixture screw and the other is the low speed mixture screw. To set the high and low adjustment screws, tighten the screws in until they stop, don't force the screw after it stops. Back each screw out 1 1/2 turns. The engine will start and run here if everything else is ok. Fine tune each adjustment screw by closing the screw off (CW) until the engine runs rough. Back the screw out (CCW) until the engine smooths out. Run the engine at full speed and adjust the high screw. Let off the trigger and adjust the low screw. Once the mixture screws are adjusted, you can turn the idle screw to adjust the idle speed. It can take some time getting it all adjusted.

Need to tune sthil fs74 line trimmer

Hi chris tanti
Before you remove or try to adjust your low and high speed jets you should always count the number of turns it takes to lightly seat the idle mixture screw and high speed needle adjusting screws.
Be sure to write the number of turns down on a piece of paper so you will know how many turns from the seated position to open the jets when you go to reinstall them, or if you remove them for cleaning or replacement.
If you have aready tried to adjust them then the adjustments below should get it running for you for final adjustment when warm.
Normally you will adjust your idle jet to 1/2-3/4 turn open from the bottom seated position.
Then you will re-adjust the low speed of the engine when the engine is warm by turning the idle screw in or out till the engine runs smoothly at idle speed, around 1200 RPM.
The high speed jet is adjusted to 1 1/2- 1 3/4 open from the bottom seated position, after the engine is warm.
Then re-adjusted by turning the High Speed jet adjustment screw in or out till the motor runs smoothly at high speed.
Alway use the "lightly seated" method if you have not changed the screw settings.

Homelite mighty lite 26ss - Carb needs adjustment. Which screw is which? What are the initial low and high screw adjustment settings? Thanks

Starting with the question which screw is which: the low speed screw is closest to the engine and that makes the high speed screw farther away. Set the screws 1 turn out and then adjust as needed.

The chain on my Stihl 034 runs even at idle. Is there an adjustment on my clutch or is it likely time for replacement? The engine idle speed sounds normal in comparison to my other Stihl saws.

There are three possible reasons for this, either the idle speed of the engine is too high ( unscrew the idle screw on the side of the carb ) or the bearing on which the sprocket runs has not been greased and the drum cannot run freely on it ( remove the side cover, turn the sprocket by hand, it shoud turn freely and not try to turn the crank ) or the clutch springs are weak, or have broken ( remove the side cover, remove the c clip and washer holding the sprocket on, and remove it, you will now see the clutch, check for broken springs, if the shoes can be readily pulled out by hand, the springs require replacment.

The owners manual for my Ryobi 210 describes carburetor adjustment but the photos do not show which screw is the idle mixture adjuster.

The Low speed adjustment screw is the one marked as "L" and would be adjusted during:
1. Idle - to insure running smoothly, and
2. Acceleration - to transition from Idle to High Speed.

The High speed adjustment screw is the one marked as "H" and would be adjusted during:
1. High speed or Wide Open Throttle. Turn about 1/8 either way to gain top RPM's and then back off slightly.

The final screw is an Idle Set screw. This screw sets the actual speed of the Idle and is the screw attached to the end of the throttle cable as it terminates at the carburetor. Turning it:
1. Clockwise - increases RPM's (speeds up motor)
2. Counter Clockwise - reduces RPM's (slows down the motor)

How do I remove the ignition module in a 2300cva chinsaw?

Remove the starter mechanism and the left side cover to expose the flywheel and ignition module. If you have little or no spark, try setting the pole gap using a thin business card for a gap gauge. Turn the flywheel magnets under the ignition module poles, insert the card into the gaps, loosen the module screws and allow the poles to contact the magnets. Reset the screws and try for spark. Hope this helps!
