Dracee,
Did someone use the laptop and set a password?
You can reset the BIOS password as follows:
Power OFF the laptop.
Open an access door on the bottom of the laptop.
remove the motherboard battery (round disc battery) for a few minutes.

-- or --

Find the two "reset pins" located near the round disc battery or near the CMOS BIOS chip. Short the two pins for 5 seconds.
Cloase up the laptop and start it. *done*

To reset the BIOS read the information from this link: http://www.fixya.com/support/r7229632-reset_or_remove_bios_password
In case of your laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD (Kill CMOS will do the job) as it's pretty hard to open it up and reach for the CMOS battery or the jumper.

I have pasword in bios and im need unlocked

Hello,

All you need to do is to remove the cmos battery of your laptop and power on, your laptop will boot up and will not ask for the password anylonger.

You can later put back the cmos battery.

Take care.

How to open pasword bios,if we forget the pasword?

Actually you can clear the BIOS password by resetting the CMOS jamper. If you are familiar with CMOS jamper it is easy for you. Open your laptop with the use of screw driver. Once you are already open it locate the CMOS jamper near the CMOS battery at the south bridge of your laptop motherboard. Remove the jamper with in 5 seconds after that reinsert and trun on your laptop.

Bios password forgotten-->erased files??

your files will be safe. A BIOS password will not affect files on a hard drive, it just affects your ability to enter the BIOS screen on your laptop.

About fatal error

Hi Kotesh, If the PC concerned is a desktop and you can open it up and see the motherboard, it is possible to reset the CMOS/BIOS. This action will set the CMOS/BIOS to default, remove all personal configurations including any password(s) that you may have set. The reset jumper normally is very near the Lithium battery If it were a laptop, then that's another issue. Most present day laptops for purposes of security made it a point to really protect passwords such as this. Some older laptop versions have a total reset button underneath. Still others also have a battery that you can remove to reset the CMOS/BIOS. Hope this be of some help/idea. Pls post back with details of your PC's brand/model or at the very least your motherboard. Good luck and kind regards.
