It does not make sense they overlooked it. It does make sense the fan motor is bad.
A fan motor must have a new capacitor. I would ask for a labor adjustment on the original repair.

Coleman Mach ac with airxcel thermostat will only turn on in high cool mode.Thermostat wont turn on in fan mode low or high. And wont turn on in auto mode low/highcool. Here humming in low/high auto.

If you are hearing humming from the motor itself, replace the capacitor. Should only cost you $10-20.

To rule out a faulty thermostat perform a jump test on the control board. There's a lot of videos and tutorials online for performing a jump test. I attached one of them for your reference, however with the humming, I am inclined to believe it is a faulty capacitor.

Rheem classic 80 fan motor on furnace hums will not turn on

Have you checked the capacitor? Try spinning the blower wheel by hand, if this gets the motor going you have a bad capacitor. If not, the motor will need to be replaced.

Fan stopped working on our Bosch rangehood (Type D-FX41-8 or E-Nr. DKE935AAU). Lights working but the fan only inhibits a humming sound.

hi ;
the fan motor needs repair , the cause of humming is the vibration of induction on AC current in the motor.
if the motor stopped means it has faulty shafting and bushing, or maybe the starting capacitor needs a replacement, don't turn it on or use it to prevent burning of induction wire,
also it needs a qualified technician to repair ,

My coleman RV AC 8000 series will not run - not even the fan. When I turn it on, I get a hum, and thats all. At one point, I gave the fan a little 'Push" and it ran nice and cold for hours. Once it...

It can be the start capacitor,or the fan itself can be bad,replace the start capacitor,then if this does not help,replace the fan motor,sense you can start the fan by hand,and it runs for hours,it must be the start capacitor.

Ac unit fan does not turn unless i force it to turn. also not producing cold air

If the fan just hums and if you spin the fan and it runs, check out the capacitor, it is bad. Most condensing units have a split capacitor, for the hermedic unit and the fan. If the compressor runs the dual capacitor is bad on the fan side. Your choice buy the dual capacitor, or just buy a single capacitor for the fan part of it. Make sure the voltage rating and microfarad ratings are the same. They will be marked on the old capacitor, as will fan (for fan), and herm for compressor). THATS 220 VOLTAGE YOUR WORKING WITH, BE SURE THE POWER IS OFF!!
