Your Computer is shipped with the VAIO Recovery Center software, present in a hidden partition.

You can use the VAIO Recovery Center to install the preinstalled Operating System, Applications and the original Drivers.

Restart the Computer and press the F10 key when the Sony logo appears to check whether the Computer is able to access the VAIO Recovery Center.

In the VAIO Recovery Center, select the option 'Restore C: Drive' and follow the onscreen instructions to perform a C: Drive Recovery to resolve the issue.

Performing a C: Drive Recovery will erase all the data present in theC: Drive and will reinstall the preinstalled Operating System,Applications and the original Drivers.

Get the restore disc from Restore.com it should clear up the problem..Better yet dump Vista (Windows) altogether and and install ubuntu for free eg. Zorin 9OS 32 bit system. It is kept current until 2019. wheras Vista and Windows XP are not kept current and are vulnerable to hackers. With older systeme there maybe intitial problems getting the wifi and wireless printer to work..(go to linux or Ubuntu forums for help. The Ubuntu system is fast compared with any thing Windows puts out..

Speakers not working vgn

A couple things to try: First, attempt using a set of headphones to verify if the problem is the same. Second, open the device manager and expand 'sound, video and game controllers' uninstall the problematic device and redetect the device. One more thing you may try is going to Sony's website and look under support for the newest audio drivers for your system.

I'd suggest ring back Sony support and tell them that your OS is Windows 7 - not Vista. Therefore, you need the upgraded VGA driver because the Vista driver is incompatible with Windows 7. Hope it all goes well. If my suggestion works for you, please do rate me. Thanks

No sound please help inspiron lap top not

Did you ever have sound. If you did, depending on the version of windows use the system restore feature. Windows XP can go back months, while Vista can only about a month when you show restore points older than 5 days. Just search for the system restore feature for your operating system. Use the help menu to locate the program (In vista it will be named differently but the help menu will show you where it is).

If you download "driver max" this will find all system hardware, check all driver versions, download the the latest version, or if you want to pick a known good one you can. It looks like, as you have so many OS on your pc. that there may be some conflicts there. But driver max should sort this. Oh and it's free so no worries there.

I need audio driver for Sony Viao VGN-SZ430N win XP

I had the same proble... and was SOLVED:

1-Download the propiate Audio driver from the VGN-SZ430N XP Support driver
2-Download Legroom Universal Extractor. Install the software.
3-Extract the driver using Univeral Extractor.
4-Browse through the extracted folder: TEMPEXEFOLDER; and then run the "setup" file from there.
4-It will install this way (you will see a quick splash screen of the Audio driver brand).

Find out who makes the drive, then go to their website and install the new driver, this should fix it I hope.  If not, post back, and we'll get this fixed.

In Vista Home Premium, Taskbar, there is no restore windows to original configuration.

So, basically you want all of your windows to come up at once, but in the location with the size you opened them in?

First, you'd have to open Tools->Folder options (speaking from an XP standpoint; I can't remember the Vista menuing), then click the View tab, and check the boxes for "Remember each folder's view settings" and "Restore previous folder windows at logon". Click apply to all folders, then when you reopen everything, you can press Windows+D to show the desktop then press it again to restore everything.  There is no right-click option for what you're trying to do, but what I'm suggesting is the closest thing to it.
