My volume is to low

Your computer should have a little speaker icon in the lower right hand corner of the screen on the taskbar. Click on it and check to make sure that volume slider is set to the maximum volume.

Also check the media player program that you are using for a seperate volume control since most players like Windows Media Player or VLC Media Player will also have their own dedicated volume control somewhere right on the media player window itself. So just make sure this second volume control is also set to maximum.

Otherwise that may simply be as much as your built in laptop speakers are able to achieve. Very few laptops will have loud high performance speakers built-in. Most people simply buy an aftermarket external powered speaker system to plug into the headphone jack of their laptop if they want / need loud high quality sound.

Here are some links to a few models of external powered computer speaker systems that are currently available on EBay:

Just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and blue highlighted section of text just above.

This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information and items at the website indicated.

I truly hope that was helpful to you.

Good luck and take care.

Low volume

1)Make sure volume is at maximum level. check down right hand side of your desktop. 2)Make sure speakers(headphones) volume is at maximum. 3) If problem continues check your speaker( connect it to other pc), and headphone as well. 4) If problem continues try reinstalling audio driver.

I increased my netbook volume to100% then also its to low how to make it

Most netbooks, and indeed, most laptops in general use a very weak amplifier for the speakers. This results in low volume, even with the volume turned all the way to the maximum. The good news is, your netbook is equipped with a headphone jack on the right side of the unit. It should be green in color. As you would expect, you can plug a set of headphones into this jack and use those, or you can pick up a set of amplified speakers such as Creative Labs excellent Inspire series. ( Either option should have you rocking in style in no time!

Initially the main speakers would not shut off when the headphones were plugged into the headphone jack. I reset the audio settings to the factory default. Now the headphone jack does not work. How do I...

If you right hand mouse click on the louspeaker icon, click on open volume mixer.
You can set the headphone volume and speaker volumes from there. (depending on your OS and set up preferences)

My Acer Extensa 4820 volume is to low

Double click on the volume control at the bottom right corner of the screen or go to control panel (by clicking all programs or windows logo) and choose Sound And Audio Devices. When you are in the volume control panel box, make sure that all volume controls are at its maximum. If this doesn't work, try a different speaker or a headphone. If your speaker/headphone has volume control, set it accordingly. If still nothing, reinstall the driver for your audio device.

Microphone and headphone problem

Usually when you double click the speaker icon in the system tray you'll see the volume settings for all your devices. On microphone there is usually an check box for mic boost. Set those to mic boost. Then check that all the sliders in the volumes are one increment below the top but maximum for Wave. Then set the master volume to a comfortable loudness This you can access by a single click to the speaker icon.

Next, you can go to Control Box, click on Sounds and check the settings for speakers/headphone and also for recording where there is usually a routine for checking the recording settings via your microphone made available to you.

Please do not hesitate to ask me for more information and kindly be specific if you can. I'm here to help and will get back to you in a reasonable period of time.

Hope this fixed your problem and thanks for using Fixya.

Why our head phones on Computer are not working

Is there a switch to turn on the headphone port? Is there a control on the headphones to adjust the volume (on a volume level on the side of the laptop)? Also, when the headphones are plugged into the laptop, go into your sound settings and turn up the master volume (and wave volume if it is low.. If that works, make sure to turn it back down when disconnecting the headphones).

Also, do the headphones work in another device (stereo, etc..)?
