Question about HP Office Equipment & Supplies

1 Answer

I can't install a new cartridge in my printer.

I am trying to install a new black and white cartridge on the printer for my computer. When I turn on the printer and open the top of it, the cartridges move at a rapid pace. There is no way I can get them to stop so I can remove the existing cartridge and install the new one. How do I get the cartridges to stop moving so I can remove one and install another one in its place?

Also, can I buy ink for the cartridge, and since my cartridge has obviously run out of ink, install the ink in the cartridge? What kind of ink do I buy, where do I find it, and how do I install it in the cartridge? Thank you.

I suffer from white streaks and light printing. A new samsung black cartridge was installed, same problem. Colour printing OK. Machine is only on it's second black cartridge.

Clean your printer head and nozzle with printer utility software. Hope it would solve your problem, if not, open the black cartridge and fit it again and try to print again. Though, not work, perhaps problem in you black cartridge, so purchase an original cartridge. Thanks.

Printer will not print in color

If there isn't a specific accessible program for the settings of your printer, open my computer and right click on your printer. This can also be done by opening the "Control Pannel" and selecting either "Hardware and Sound" on Vista and "Printers" an Vista classic view or Xp. There you should be able to find a colour managment setting. It sounds to me that your printer is set to "Black and White Only Default" or your colour managment is set to "Text Colour Only"

Hope this helps

Printer not working!

Usually black is provided by the black cartridge only. You might be able to setup the printer through the control panel using black and white printing until the color cartridge is replaced. That might turn the color cartridge off allowing you to print.

Tri Colour cartridge inserted is not intended for use in this printer msg

Try to clean the print cartridge contact points with a good rubber eraser and clean the printer side cartridge contacts with good lint free cotton cloth. Then first insert Black cartridge and then colour cartridge. Use some more pressure while attaching the cartridges.
