Try replacing the potentiometer, this is the variable dial which alters the speed. It should show the value in ohms on the back of the case, these are relatively cheap and can be bought from RS. Its sound like the wiper in the dial is loose.

Car speed slows down and speeds up runs a little rough when speeding back up it does a jerk.

Dear Debbie,
Fuel filter costs about $ 20 plus installation, catalytic converter about $100 up to $ 600 plus installation..
Go for the fuel filter first.
If it is not that, do a diagnostic check before you do the catalytic converter.
The "cat" seldom is the problem.
God bless your efforts.

Acquired snap on ya219 that didn't weld. Replaced the capacitor. Powered on and struck an arc on the the ground lead. I removed the welding wire and noticed that when the wire speed was turned all the way...

Could be a shorted output rectifier (diode). This would cause a lot of current pull, and therefore voltage drop (fan slowing down). The electrolytic capacitors are for dc voltage, and will blow with wrong polarity, which means ac voltage would be the wrong polarity half the time.

Why does wire weld to tip when trigger is pulled when welding aluminium

The tip of the welder may need cleaned out, your feed speed might need slowed down, check the polarity is it straight or reverse?

My wire feed welder wont slow down. I was welding some thick galvanized pipe and went to turn the wire feed down and it didn't work

the speed feed rheostat(control) is shorted or you've got a short on the board if it has one. Hopefully just your switch. Check for a short from the switch to the drive motor. Remember, electricity can and will kill you. Be safe

Wire feed speed problem

Check the speed control board's voltage from the fan. If you are below 20 volts, 1- oil the cooling fan bushings to see if that helps. Otherwise adding in a discrete 24 volt 1 ro 1.5 Amp "control" transformer and a 2 ohm 50 Watt resistor in place of the fan's 24 volt tap (it rarely gets to 24 volts) should bring your speed up.

This does assume the board is fully functional.

I have A handler 14 the problem is that the wire feed speed does not work right if you set it to slow down from say 5 it acts like it is on one and you turn it to 5.5 and it acts like 8 ? help

Hi:
I don't know how old it's your machine but the most common problem for the wire speed control is the rheostat. The coil must be worn out and there is no more contact in the required range. This is an easy fix, call your local welding store and request the wire speed control. If you don't have a local welding store and you are in the USA you can check the link below for sales, call them of input your zip code for the nearest store location:

If you machine is not old (more than 3 years) then your problem will rely on the main pc board.

Wire Speed Increases when voltage increases

What is it doing? stabbing the wire into the work? The voltage is too low for the speed of the wire feed.. Turn up your voltage and slow down the wire. then increase your wire according to the speed of travel of weld. That is an awesome machine but it is still up to you to get the settings dialed in. Good Luck, Ned.

Washer will not spin properly

Try this:
The filter on your pump is probably clogged with lint and stuff. You have to remove the bottom front panel, 3 torx screws underneath. The panel will drop and come off. Drain off the excess water from the drain pipe you see. The white filter cover is right in front. Get yourself a good plastic bag to collect water. Unscrew the filter cover and twist the filter out. Clean out all the stuff and put it back in carefully. Check your pump too.

Hello,

The Problem is the wiring. Take the 2 screws retaining the metal plaque off underneath the filters. You will see the wires leaving the motor going into a "molex" plastic connector which connects two another set of wires going to the control board. Check to see if the wiring colors match from side to side of plastic connector. Ive only seen it happen once but it was exactly that. I do service calls for broan & Nutone
