I can't get my black print cartridge in its place

I can't get my black print cartridge in its place [new one] I had it in bur the machine is saying check pape. and paper if i just try on the colour oner and then it made it fall out, now the machine is saying check cartridge. I feel as if maybe I got some paper stuck with trying too much.What do you think?HP Photosmart C310

SOUNDS TO ME LIKE THE CARTRIDGE IS IMPROPERLY INSTALLED.

CHECK THE MANUAL, OR GET IT OFF THE WEB IF U NEED TOO.

MOST PRINTERS HAVE A TROUBLESHOOTING AND A MAINTENANCE PROGRAM BUILT IN.

RUN THOSE..SEE WHAT IT POINTS TO.
