If there is not already one built into your laptop, you will need to
install a video capture card. There are at least two types that are
available. The USB type allows you to use it via USB on most laptops.
Some USB video capture adapters compress the video before bringing it
into the computer. The second type is either PC Card or ExpressCard,
depending on the expansion card available on your laptop. Some of the
cards also include TV tuners. The USB type is probably the most
flexible, as you can also use it on a desktop computer.
Note: The image you see on the computer will be slightly delayed from the output of the camcorder.
