  1. Power off the device (Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the the iPod touch to turn off.
  2. Press and hold the Home button while reconnecting the USB cable to iPod. When you reconnect the USB to iPod, the device should then power on.
  3. Continue holding the Home button while iPod starts up. While starting up, you will see the Apple logo.
  4. When you see "Connect to iTunes" on the screen, you can release the Home button and iTunes will display the recovery mode message:
  5. Restore and it'll download ~240mb firmware and you're done
Warning: you will lose all your data but it will definitely solve your problem.

Ipod disabled connect to itunes

Hi dimitri77
If you have forgotten the code, you can unlock the IPod by doing the following:
Connect your IPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one IPod synced with), and open iTunes.
When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked.
If you can't unlock IPod using either [the code or connecting it to the computer you use to manage its songs]. . . you can restore your iPod to factory settings using iPod Updater. Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod.
Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your iPod.
If you want to change the primary computer that your IPod is associated with, do this:
1. Restore your iPod. WARNING: The restore process cannot be undone.
All of your songs and files will be deleted. Always make a backup of your important data.
2. Connect your iPod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer.
3. Open iTunes and synchronize.
If you can't unlock your iPod and you don't have access to the primary computer, your only option is to restore the IPod, which will erase all music and data.
Please take time to rate me

My ipod is disabled and i need a simple way to fix it!! It says that connect to itunes

iPod Is Disabled After a series of more failed attempts, your iPod displays the same "iPod is Disabled" message, but with an added "Connect to iTunes" message. At this point, your iPod shuts down completely and you cannot make any more attempts to enter the passcode. In order to restore the device at this stage, you need to connect it to a computer with iTunes installed. Ideally, connect it to a computer that you've used before for syncing your iPod.

Hi my brothers friend tried entering the wrong password in our IPOD TOUCH . Now it says IPOD IS DISABLED connect to itunes. PLEASE HELP!

You need to connect it to the computer with itunes that you usually connect it to or sync it with. This is because your friend has locked your iphone in case it was stolen. However, by syncing it back with its normal itunes computer, it will realise it hasn't in fact been stolen and should all work again normally.

the only thing I could think of is put the ipod in DFU mode,Turn off the ipod and plug it into the computer and open itunes. hold the sleep/wake button (top button) and the home button(bottom button) for 10 seconds. When you count to 10 release the top sleep/wake button and continue holding the home button for 10 seconds. after about 6-10 seconds an itunes error message should pop up saying there is an ipod in DFU mode would you like to restore it. Thats the only way i could think about it.

Updating and Restoring iPod touch Software You can use iTunes to update or reinstall iPod touch software, restore default settings, and delete all data on iPod touch. ââ If you update, the iPod touch software is updated but your downloaded applications, settings, and songs are not affected. ââ If you restore, the latest version of iPod touch software is reinstalled, default settings are restored, and data stored on iPod touch is deleted, including downloaded applications, songs, videos, contacts, photos, calendar information, and any other data. In iTunes 7.7, you can also restore from a backup without deleting data stored on iPod touch. Note: Deleted data is no longer accessible via the iPod touch user interface, but is not permanently erased from your iPod touch until it is overwritten by new data. For information about permanently erasing all content and settings, see “Resetting iPod touch” on page 94. Update or restore iPod touch: 1 Make sure you have an Internet connection and have installed the latest version of iTunes from www.apple.com/itunes. 2 Connect iPod touch to your computer. 3 Select iPod touch in the iTunes sidebar and click the Summary tab. 4 Click “Check for Update.” iTunes tells you if there’s a newer version of the iPod touch software available. 5 Click Update to install the latest version of the software. Or click Restore to restore. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the restore process.

8GB iPod Touch Disabled

Thanks to everyone who provided solution inputs. I finally have my iPod back. The solution is: 1. Turn of your iPod. 2. While holding down the 'Home' button, connect to iTunes WARNING: Doing this will return your iPod back to original 'out of the box' settings and you will lose everything. On the bright side, you get a 'fresh' start and it will auto update to the most recent software version. Good luck!
