Guitar hero II not working on PS2

Hi. We just purchased the Guitar hero 1 and 2 multi-pack. Guitar hero 1 works fine but the ps2 will not read guitar hero 2. It is an older ps2. All of our other new games have worked and we haven't had any problems with new games.

Guitar hero 2 is really slow and the song won't load. I don't know if it's just because we don't have a guitar, the game is jacked, or just our ps2. Please help!

The Aerosmith game that came w/Guitar Hero for PS2 works fine. We went to purchase World Tour and despite two returns it would not work on PS2. Best Buy then let me trade it for another game, Rock Band, which played fine. Then I purchased Rock Band 2, despite two returns it will not play. This time I purchased from Target. I'm going back today to exchange again. They told me that I may have to write the mfg. Why are some games working and others not? Is it the mass production of the CD's, or just the older PS2's are not picking up new tech.????

I have found that the weight of the Cd's have something to do with it; and the thickness (also causing the weight issue).
For some reason the older Ps2s' cds are heavier, while the new ones are super-lightweight and it throws the PS2 off for some reason. I'm still looking into it; but thats what i've come across. Try putting (i know it sounds "ghetto") tape around the interior clear ring of the cd (DO NOT GET IT ON THE COLORED PART OF THE DISK) for the extra weight: see if that helps. I did it to my Prince of Persia Cd and it works great now! (just be careful because the tape eventually wears and u have to replace it).
    =)

When i put guitar hero world tour in ps2 it just says reading dis

Most likely from you playing burnt discs on your PS2 which tricks the laser to work on those discs, it's like a habit devoloping, you need another PS2.

Guitar hero3 on PS2 (original)

haha you know i had the exact same problem with my PS3 version of the game i tried to trick the game by getting an adapter so i could plug my old PS2 guitar hero controller into it and just play 2 player that way and the exact same thing happend. Luckly i have a bud who works at game stop and he told me that second guitars for the game have been put up on sale yet so you have to buy the pack again for another guitar. How stupid is that, but yeah bud you me and everyone else is out of luck for now. But good news my bud at the stop told me they come on sale in about a month so not to much longer befor were all rockin out
