Are there six indentations around the back? You'll need a special tool for that.

Replacing Battery Cap on Watches.

Watch covers can sometimes be tough to put back into place after replacing a battery. The caps are made to fit snuggly. This is especially true if the watch is water resistant.

WORD OF CAUTION: Because you've already opened the watch, it may no longer be water resistant. You may have also voided your warranty, so be careful.

Here are a couple of tips that might help.

Hold the watch at eye level and check that there is nothing protruding out of the watch like a tab, latch, or the battery. Be sure the battery is seated properly and the tiny latch (on some watches) is in place.

1. A small block of wood works best because it allows the edges of the watch with the band hinges to not be in the way. Cover the wood with a soft cloth like a sham cloth or felt. Place the block on a low table or on the floor. With the cap in place as evenly as you can hold it, carefully turn the watch face up and place it on the block. Then place the heel of your palm on the face of the watch, and place your other hand on top as though you were performing CPR. Now gently lean forward and allow the weight of your body to compress the cap into place.

2. If Number 1 didn't work, don't panic. Be happy, it means you're not heavy enough. So get someone heavier or stronger to help you.

3. You could remove a shoe and gently step down on it with your heel.

As a last resort only...use a heavily padded pair of pliers to squeeze it back into place.

I hope this helps

How do I change the battery on a Windesign Racing ex3018 watch?

You need a tiny flat screwdriver. Remove the 4 screws on the stainless steel back. There is a little spring clip holding the battery in. Use the tiny screwdriver to unlatch one end of the spring clip. Replace the battery (3 volt lithium Maxell CR2025 or equivalent) positive side up. Re-latch the clip and then replace the back, being careful not to cross thread the screws and secure the back well to keep water out.

How iI open a casio 705 woman watch?

Thank you for contacting FixYa.
You will need:
  • A jeweler's screwdriver- Either flat head or Philips, depending on the model of watch.
A cup or small box-This is to hold any screws.
  • How to change a Casio watch battery:
    1. Spread a cloth over your work area The cloth will help you avoid damaging the finish on your watch.
    2. If necessary, remove the watch band Removing the band gives you easier access to the back plate.
    3. Remove the back plate For some models this means using a screwdriver to gently pry it open, and others require removing screws. Keep small screws in a container to avoid losing them!
    4. Take note of the rubber seal Sometimes they need to be reinstalled in the same orientation. You might even want to use a marker to make a small "match mark" before removing it.
    5. Locate the battery It looks like a small metal button.
    6. Remove the battery You might need to loosen (not remove) a small screw and slide a latch out of the way. For other models, it's as simple as popping open a strap that is stretched across the cell.
    7. Install the new battery Make sure it's in the same orientation as the old one. They usually go in with the positive (+) side down.
    8. Perform a reset Do this by touching one tip of the tweezers to the AC contact, inside the watch, and the other tip to the back of the watch battery.
    9. Make sure the watch is working properly Carefully lift the watch to do this. Don't turn it over or the watch movement might fall out.
    10. Reassemble and seal the watch Perform steps one through four in reverse order to reassemble your watch.
    Best regards. Jewel

How do I get the back off a techno master watch to replace battery?

mcdevito75 here, Generally the back of most watches simply prys off with a case opener tool to avoid scratching, then you may need Jewelers screwdrivers to release the battery hold dowm clamp, or a cover protecting the battery. It"s fairly easy but still as with anything what to do if something goes wrong, the battery will last a year and if you have a problem, even if you over come that problem it may not be worth the effort. BEST BET, look for a small watch repair shop in your area for a new battery install, approx. $15.00

mcdevito75 here, Depending on your watch itself, Basically you"d remove the back cover, then release any hold down linkages on the battery, then replace the battery, hold down linkages and cover. The BEST BET is to look for a small watch repair shop in your area for this battery replacement as it may take special jewelers screwdrivers to change the battery.

Watch indicated "low battery" Jeweler replaced the battery but the watch did not respond and remains blank. The watch goes through 2 to 3 batteries per year and light remains on too long and cannot be...

Try resetting it - it worked for me. First, orient your watch face down (with the watch belt buckle opposite you), the new battery in and latched. Second, on the right side battery hold-down latch you will see a small metal circle (~1 mm diameter) with a black dot in the center. Take a small paper clip and touch this metal pad to the metal battery hold-down latch for about 1 second. This will reset the watch.
Rotate the tiny donut that clips over the battery so it touches the brass spring that is next to the battery, replace the back plate. you can use a small tool to carefully lift the metal contact back up off the contact plate. Also make sure the back of the case is on tight as this also plays a role the electro mechanics of this watch.

Let us know if you want to know something else accept the suggestion.
    Thanks for contacting

    Replaced battery, now no beep.

I have a Timex Digital Heart Rate Monitor 585 (product code T5C351F5)m, which has the same Short AC Pad and battery +ve message. There is an arrowhead pointing to the pad. It's a raised metal platform - a bit different to some of the Ironman's mentioned above. Here is a pic...6e1fe0e.jpg
