Question about Sharp ANXR1LP Projector Lamp for XR1X,XR1
Flashes "change lamp" after a couple of hours run time. I do not have the projector sitting on anything hot, and it has plenty of room around it for cooling.
I got a new lamp and it lasted about 40hrs run time total. I use it to watch 1 DVD each evening. After approx 20 hours of run time since new, it would show "change lamp" in yellow occasionally upon start up. Last night it changed to a red "change lamp" annunciation and shutdown the projector.
Reset the lamp timer.
1,Connect the power cord.
2,While simultaneously holding down "menu","enter" and "down" on the projector, press "standby/On" on the projector and keep all four buttons pressed down until the lamp indicator starts blinking green.
"LAMP 0000H" is displayed, indicating that the lamp timer is reset.
Have a nice day!

I also had this issue - followed the On, Input, Undo, Left, Enter, Right, On button sequence several times. Then I decided to push them in that sequence very quickly and it worked. The lamp LED on the front changed to green and the projector started up. So the button sequence they provide in the manual works, you just have to push them in rapid succession. Hope that helps.

SOURCE: PG-C45X projector wont power on
To solve this problem, simultaneously press the "Input", "Enter", and "Undo" buttons. While holding these buttons, press "On". When the project turns on, you should see "LAMP 100%". This indicates that you have successfully reset the lamp life timer.

There is no problem here, the sharp projectors just do this until you enter the reset procedure. It comes on a sheet with your lamp. they differ from projector to projector. often involves hold down power and some arrows while plugging in the projector - that will reset the lamp timer and you will be away!
