Question about Toshiba Satellite 1410-S173 Notebook
Trying to install Linksys notebook adapter in pcmcia port. Calls for turning on the "wireless switch". Can't find it and have apparently deleted my user guide :-( Where the heck is it . . . been foolin' with this all afternoon - Rusty
There isnt a switch for a PCMCIA wireless card. Most likely the driver did not install correctly.
make sure the card is plugged in. then right click "my computer" and click properties then click hardware then device manager. I bet there is a device called "network controller" with a yellow "!" through it. Next make sure the linksys install CD is in the drive, and doubleclick "netowrk controller" then click reinstall driver and let it "automatically find the driver". it should reload the correct one from the CD.
let us know if this helps.
