Canon does not have a fix for that one, normally the shop replaces the absorber and resets the counter, but this model is a disposable one. No repair available. During warranty Canon would replace with a new one, after warranty, no parts or service available.

The wast ink absorber is almost full

the waste ink absorber is a small unit inside the printer where the waste ink goes in. it is a common problem in cannon printer. the ink absorber cannot be replaced mate so when it says full, buy a new printer because its not worth repairing it.

How to take apart Cannon PIXMA iP3000 to clean the waste absorber

You need to replace the ink absorber kit and to completely disassemble the printer to replace the absorber. Attempting to clean the ink absorber is not recommended. Self servicing the absorber can be a very messy operation. I would check with a Canon repair center to see what the cost to have the servicing done by a trained technician. In some cases, it is cheaper to replace the printer.

The waste ink absorber is nearly full on a Cannon Pixma MP110 printer - how can I change this without resetting the printer software?

The software won't help, you need a shop to replace the absorber pads and reset the counter thru service mode.
