Washer is full of water. drain is blocked with hair or lint i believe. washed some nasty stuff. wont drain. how do i clear the blockage? i think may be blocked inside washer. drain hose is very narrow...

If you can get a garden type water hose near there, try to carefully use it to blow the water backwards through the drain hose. Put the hose up to the drain hose end and wrap a rag tightly around it and turn the water slowley. This may free up any debris from the hose and pump. If anything comes out, clean it out of the tub before you turn it back on.

My Bosch washing machine is leaking from the bottom of the right hand side of machine when not in use.

g'day, sounds like the leak is coming from the hose - this is because the leak is occurring when its off. Check seals on hose at the back of machine. You can always find old sets of hoses as well (or buy them), so you can try swapping them over. Keep in mind, with washing machine hoses (like gardening hoses), the seal is at the rubber washers not the thread on the tap... so plumbers tap will not stop a leak, it will hinder the seal.
An alternative solution is simply turn tap's off between washes...

Kenmore 70 series ,overflows and wont go into wash cycle Have taken the level switch out and when i blow into the switch it does make the machine wash so i guess my question is: how does the machine...

While the unit fills the air pressure is pushed up the hose to activate the pressure switch. Make sure there are no pin holes in the hose, check that hose is secure to air dome on tub. If the hose has no holes or air leaks the issue would have tobe the pressure switch.

My top load washer was in storage for a year. Now that it's out and I'm using it, the cold water comes out in a drip instead of how it should.

Check your hoses for signs of critters having moved into them while the washer was in storage. Remove the hoses and look in both ends of each. You can flush through the hoses by connecting to a garden faucet and discharging water through the hose and into a bucket. I say into a bucket so that you can see if anything was actually in the hose, or if you accidentally blow one of the screens off.
While the hoses are off, look in the holes where the hoses connect to the washer (These are the solenoid valves). If there are screens there, inspect them for debris, and clean as necessary.
This should get you going again.

Machine takes perhaps 45 min to fill with just hot water. It is not in the wall pipes - we had that checked.

On mine I turned off the water and removed the hose off the machine. I looked at the washer where the hose connects and it has a little screen to filter the incoming water. It was cloged with white stuff. I picked the screen out and cleaned it.
Maybe yours is the same thing.
Also I hooked a garden hose to the supply water and let it run full open to help flush anything from the water line.

Hoover nextra washing machin3e , not draining

Yes Disconnect drain hose from the rear of washer. You will need to use special pliers that have notches in them to grab the hose clamp or you might need a Screw Driver if the hose clamp is a regular hose clamp. Remove clamp and flush washer hose with a high pressure hose or garden hose. Inspect drain where you took the hose off for any blockage. You might have to do this two or three times.Yet most of the time one time is good enougg. Good Luck!

I take it that you have tried rotating the cycle knob slowly through the point at the end of the wash cycle to the rinse cycle? On many machines, this will trigger the pump to drain the tub. Yet I am guessing that you have already tried that.

You could try running a garden hose from the machine along the floor and then outdoors. Next, take the end of the garden hose and place it into the top of the machine so that the end of the garden hose goes to the bottom of the tub. Feed in another five feet of garden hose into the machine so that this five feet is below the water level. Now, hold the palm of your hand over the end of the garden hose at the bottom of the machine and while doing this, pull out the extra five feet of garden hose and then remove your hand from the end of the garden hose. This should have "primed" the end of the garden hose with water so that the water will get sucked out of the machine and flow through the garden hose to the outdoors.

If this doesn't work, then you will need another person to **** on the other end of the garden hose in order to get the water to start flowing through the garden hose.

Rotton egg smell

The smell is simply residual biological washing powder doing its job and eating away at the mess and muck in the tube (along with the smell of rotting bits of lint and other rubbish. Dragging the garden hose into the house and flushing the pipes out with some clean water under pressure may help. Also, you may find thattitting the machine on its hottest wash, with about 4 dishwasher tablets in it may also help. Dishwasher tablets have detergent and anti-bacterial agents in them that kill the bacteria that is in biological washing powder.
