Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
I have an HP Laser Jet 1100 hard-wired to my wireless-enabled desktop Compaq running XP. I also have a wireless-enabled HP Pavilion laptop (running XP) and another, new wireless-enabled HP laptop (running Vista). Today, I was able to access the printer from the XP laptop through wireless printer sharing. When I tried to access the printer from the new, Vista laptop, going through "Network and Sharing Center", clicking on "Printers" in the folder tree under "Network", then right-clicking "Printers" to click on "Add a printer", I received this message: :You do not have sufficient rights to perform this operation". Why? I am the sole user of the wireless-enabled Vista laptop and I employ no passwords. So, how do I had a printer, the HP Laser Jet 1100, to the wireless-enabled Vista laptop for remote sharing?
