Go to any hardware store, or home depot with the book from the fridge and the hose or at least measure and make a drawing of each end so you will buy the correct adapter.

How do i fix ice maker on kenmore elite refridgerator

It could just be a frozen water tube without enough slope to drain leaving water traped between the back wall and ice maker. Another problem could be that some models have a screen wire filter on the inlet electric water cylinoid valve that controls the water to only the ice maker. Located under the refrigerator. Yours will have two or a double and a single. Also unplug the refrigerator then unplug the two spade connection and check the electric windings for a open circuit. Anything under 1000 down to 25 ohms are good. To find which valve controls the ice follow the hose. Or have some one push the wat

WAS IT LEAKING FROM INSIDE THE FREEZER OR FROM BOTTOM OF FRIDGE? ONCE IN A WHILE YOU NEED TO TAKE OUT THE ICE BIN AND DUMP ICE OUT AND CLEAN IT. HOW CAN THE ICE MACHINE OVERFLOW WITH ICE WHEN THE ICE IN THE TRAY WON'T BUDGE? NEED CLARIFICATION. SOUNDS LIKE YOU EITHER HAVE A BAD ICE MAKER MODULE OR THE SOLENOID FOR THE ICE ON THE WATER VALVE IS BAD.

I am trying to replace the water dispenser hose. The hose sold to me is 1/4 inch. The hose on the refridgerator is larger/ The 1/4 inch does not fit

You are correct.Your looking for a 5/16. Some models have them that have the water and ice in the door but the 5/16 normaly goes to the water in the door rather than the ice maker. You will also have trouble finding the compression fitting unless you get it through a appliance place or auto parts place.

It sounds like you have a failing relay/valve that wont stay open when current is passed through them, check there first otherwise your control board could have water/heat damage remove inspect and if necessary replace let me know how it goes :)

Exactly the same.

The hose that carries the water from the top coil to the evaporator pan is plugged with ice. You need to leave your unit unplugged for a long time so the ice in the drain hose can melt. If you restart it too soon the problem will not be solved.

Are you installing a ice maker kit? If the ice maker is already installed all you have to do is connect it to the potable water supply in the back of the refrigerator and lower the bail arm to put it into operation.
